Loaders movement is super complicated and rewarding. One tip that helped me learn with her is that during a grapple, the direction your looking will dictate the direction you accelerate. But theirs also the fact that you can run during all of her abilities, charge your gauntlet before grappling,as well as more complicated stuff like bhopping.
with loader (at least with how I play), you want to focus on being in the middle of enemies, as long as you are hitting anything, you gain barrier which acts as heal on hit.
honestly I think the exact opposite, like check out a really good loader player like Race, rarely using the m1 especially later in the run and always zooming around since the punch does more damage if you're moving faster
@@disturbeddemons1 thank you for looking forward to my videos! :) As of right now, I don’t upload to the specific subscriber feed as I am trying to grow and reach more viewers. Although, as long as you always keep an eye out, my videos will be there for you!!!!
Just wanted to say thank you for checking out my video! I am working incredibly hard on audio to get it perfect for future videos! I just haven’t found the best system yet. But I think I’m close! So stay posted if you liked this content (but not the audio😂)
what blows up is the moon where mithrix is actually stuck planet still fine 👍(actually it's more like the moon collapses because mithrix was the thing keeping everything there)
@@AtomicRascal around half of the greens I consider better than 3 whites even the good ones combined and with how rare a green trishop is it makes it worth it just off of the greens then when you consider the void items yellows and reds the pay off gets alot better. There's also the chance for a red or yellow printer so you can just get a free god run if you have a recycler. If you are looping I could see an argument for the card more but I rarely loop.
@@AtomicRascal yeah she is great i also like a charater from dlc but i dont want to spoil it, you should try them out. Dlc is on sale now and 100% worth it's contnet
@@AtomicRascal Yeah she is great. So are characters from DLC. I recommend getting it. It is on sale rn, very fun adition to the base version. Game has a faster pace with it and is hella fun.
I disagree heavily on bandit's primary, if you get up close and behind you can do 4000% damage in like a second. If you need to hit something at a longer range, you can either use the revolver or double tap the shotgun, wait a moment, then double tap again, the pause makes the bloom reset for more accurate shots. It is important to shoot all four shots almost every time, if you do so you'll reload faster than if you only shot 2 or 3 shots because normally there's a small delay before reloading, but firing all four shots reduces that delay a ton. sorry for the small essay, I just love bandit a lot, I agree with you that the engi's primary sucks tho. (Update: turns out I can't read)
@@wabaduba2860 I agree with you! Although, I think you misunderstood. TNTboom was talking about bandits ALTERNATE primary. So, not the shotgun, but the 4 shot rifle (I hope I’m correct, I have not played enough bandit) So, I would like to ask, do you believe both of bandit’s primary options are viable?
@@tntboom234_3 ah, my bad, then yeah, I agree with you, blast isn't good at all, it's niche of being better at mid-long range is already filled by the revolvers
fun tip that single handedly made me want to play engineer after considering him really bad: you can put the turrets in some rocks if there's terrain under them, making them invincible in most scenarios (stuff like Alloy Worship Unit can attack them with some attacks that have big AOE)
@@boxoloxoYT I’m glad I inspired you to play the engineer😂 I did enjoy them, I have just gotten used to being very fast and maneuverable so it was a difficult change and I was definitely impatient
There's a fun story about why it's called Risk of Rain. In the first game, Mithrix's brother Providence caused a cargo ship (UES Contact Light) to crash onto Petrichor. The 'rain' refers to the 7 million cargo containers that rained down onto the planet as Providence ripped the ship apart in orbit.
@@AtomicRascal Several parts of the Contact Light crashed to the ground during the wreck, but several of the old environments' structures are from Mithrix's experimentation with design. If you want a deep dive into the lore, @thegrovetender has a fantastic video on it!
A fun thing about the moon, if you have a way to get to Mithrix before doing the pillars events (like with artificer's flight), you can go straight to fight him as soon as you get to the stage
@@AtomicRascal Straight to the tower of Mithrix, and artificer can fly infinitly, you just have to gilde until the surge is available again, even without items, eventually you get high enough to get to the top
Yeah pizzas probably the worst attack to deal with in the game(other than this 2:35 and the elder lemurians other attack ). Also get the survivors of the void dlc, it’s really interesting and I don’t think it’s super expensive
Please play loader. She is probably the most fun survivor in the game and the faster you're moving when you're using her shift the more damage it does.
@@AtomicRascalat first she can be a little harder than other survivors, but the second game around she’s probably the best survivor in the game (or at Least top 3) because she’s got the most movement and band procs
That wasn't even OSP, that was just having health enough to take the blow without dying. He was hit directly by 2 of the fireballs from the Blazing Elder (this is evidenced by him having received two ignite debuffs which you can see in bottom left above health bar) which will bypass OSP. OSP protects exactly one attack when at or above 90% max health. Elder Lemurians are actually notorious for bypassing OPS with this attack. Edit- Also it should be noted that OSP does nothing to debuff damage so he is lucky that the damage is not as severe here, as in Monsoon the damage from the ignite would've likely been fatal if the blast itself was not.
@@disturbeddemons1 i thought the 3rd one was close enough and did nothing because of osp, didn't think about counting the fire debuffs to check what actually hit
@@lordvgames Yeah the AoE of the fireball attack on Elder's is a bit weird. It's honestly surprising that he only took 2 direct hits as at that range the game will usually calculate as you getting hit by most if not all of them but at such a close range it can be a little weird with how the hit/damage is calculated. But yeah, that wasn't OSP but just having enough health to tank it. And you are right in your original comment implying that OSP is rarely helpful. When I first started playing I relied way too heavily on it only for it to be bypassed by something like this and end the game mad on a loss lol. Now that I play Eclipse though I rarely have OSP anymore so I no longer even think about it as a thing.
unluckiest pizza roll ever, both attacks right after each other so basically, mithrix causes immense pain and can kill you in 1-2 hits. for the first time fighting him, you did surprisingly well, since staying in the air is really good for phase 3 in particular, it's mainly just practicing the timing when he initiates the funni pizza attack (blue spinning walls). he *always* does it right after doing a ground slam. for phase 4, good luck lol
I swear, most of the game is cake walk to me, but the last level and third phase mithrix are absolute bs, it pisses me off to no end. Like it is this one thing that is left to do in a game.
With 900 hours in the game and as a fellow content creator, I am very glad you are experiencing this wonderful game for the first time! Make sure not to miss out on the ECLIPSE alternate gamemode. Once you've beaten the game once that's where you should go next. Monsoon is the same thing as eclipse one, but won't give you the Eclipse unlocks. Also, you can dodge the Pizza Wheel attack by either getting reallt close to him where it spins slowest or getting far from him where you have the lowest chance of getting hit. Best of luck!
Case and point vase is probably the third best item in the game. It is a pillar skip for your whole team. The egg is another really good item especially if you don't have good movement speed even if you do have movement speed with a full cell it's also a pillar skip but tbf both of your characters can pillar skip
The stone tablet at 7:15 is one of the codes to use on the portal to loop, there is one hidden on every stage. Also, there is another way to get to Voidling that is easier (at least I think is easier), after fighting the final boss at the moon, you get back to spawn, there will be a glass frog, if you pet it 10 times with lunar coins it will open a portal straight to the fight with Voidling. Also, don't stay on the same place, if you constantly move, it will be harder for him to hit you, though if you don't have enough speed you might get hit anyways
What up atomic 😁 this is the first video I've seen of yours and just wanted to say you did an awesome job. Huntress is my main and she's really hard to get good at, glass cannon character. Highly recommend you unlock her alternate ult ability. Way better then her main, more precise high damage. Good luck on the future runs lol forward to watching you grow as a ror2 player 😁👍
A small tip, if you get to Siren's call again, you can destroy some eggs that are hidden around the stage (Like the one at 11:03), if you destroy enough of them, a secret boss will be summoned that will drop a legendary item at the middle of the stage, and if is the first time being defeated, it will also unlock a new character, the loader
The thing that killed you is a Brass Contraption, wich ist one of the most dangerous enemys in the game, especially in the endgame becourse they have the ability to shotgun you. And also keep distance from the big lizards, they can shotgun you to. Nice video and good dodging👍
The gold orb you can access after you finish the boss of that level with a great reward at the end. The frost red power up was the circle around you before you died. You did awesome man, fun video. Thanks for posting!
As a new player, I usually wouldn't recommend to mod the game yet, however, I would actually suggest to try one called "ProperSave", as is very annoying to lose a whole run just because the game disconected you, this mod saves a checkpoint at the start of each stage so you can continue in case that it happens again. (Btw, sorry if I misspelled something, english is my 2nd language)
this man just got one of the best items (tesla coil aka giant metal shroom) and had to end due to a disconnect. m a n. as someone who has played ror2 a lot, it is basically just a game that says "balance? nah good luck" and throws you into the most unhinged gameplay possible
For anybody debating on playing this game, play it. This game gets better as you keep on playing as you unlock more items and characters. The dlc is highly worth it too
