I love how challenging this bird is to fly! I can very ungracefully manage forward flight and gentle turns, but any remotely aggressive banking turns and I seem to lose all lift haha. I would LOVE if DCS managed to incorporate more of an airborne reconnaissance role and AFAC role for helicopters and the slower moving light-attack/observation aircraft (like the OV-10.) I think it was Sidekick who managed to make a mission with the OV10 where you could mark enemy positions with smoke rockets and some fast movers would come in and attack that location, though I imagine he had to use all scripting for that. It'd be cool if they made features like that more easily accessible in the mission editor. Thanks for posting!
Great stuff and thanks for the shout out! Is there a way to balance out the the audio in your set up? When you go to the external views the helicopter sounds are so loud that it really drowns out some of the informative commentary you have. When I film I have to minimize the ambient noises quite a bit because I'm pretty quiet myself lol

Contention is a good server I've been on recently. It's limited to fox 1 missiles so be prepared for that but they have combined arms enabled which is a drawcard for me.
it's not gazelle specific, but you seem to have it nailed down pretty much all the way. only advice: when you transition to forward flight, the power pedal input will gradually become less as you speed up, this is because your tail fin becomes more efficient with airspeed. as you take off, you saw you needed to add right pedal to keep the aircraft on a certain heading as you lift into a hover. once you start moving forward, you gradually start to add left pedal. watch your slip/skid indicator aka 'the ball' to tell you which way you are leaning, ideally you keep the ball in the middle. don't be surprised if your nose isn't necessarily pointing straight towards your direction of flight, this is normal if you have a side wind component. just watch the ball and try keeping it in the center when flying above let's say 20-30 knots. i don't really fly the gazelle, I find the flight model still twitchy even after the recent update, I only fly the hip in DCS, that's the model that I find closest to reality. if you have specific questions, feel free.

The USS Helena was a member of the "Saint Louis subclass" of the Brooklyn class. Since the St Louis and Helena were the last Brooklyn class ships built, they benefitted from some significant design improvements, such as carrying 4 twin enclosed 5" - 38 cal gun turrets, as opposed to the single 5" - 25 cal secondary guns of the first 7 Brooklyns. Also the Helena and St Louis were designed with alternating boiler rooms and engine rooms, decreasing the odds of having their engines destroyed by enemy action and being left dead in the water.
He's dropping torps in the water to save some of his planes. So he doesn't attack with a full squadron while the enemy team is most likely to be clumped up.
What a coincidence. I too walked away from the game. It was about 9 months ago, and I only logged in maybe 3 times in that timeframe, but i didn't play any games. It wasn't until 2 weeks ago that I finally played a few games. Since I've been back, I've noticed that at least 2 well known youtube WOWSB reviewers have stopped consistently posting videos like they used to. One is Yeahbuoy and the other is you.
Basically how to citadel a ship is by aiming toward the main decks and smokestacks. Everything else does minor damage to the ship. I tried a few times especially with main barrels of the ship in game at it works. Don’t be too close or too far for the best results . All based up on my gaming experience with the North Carolina battleship in-game. I may not have a video of it (primarily because I finished the ship objective first).
I think overall the best nation line is British The best in everything well balanced If they provide cruisers with HE then no one has any chance Suppose a Minotaur with HE or any cruiser
The ship has very low velocity shells it's not a Ship which has any speciality Because it's has good HE but not great like British Average AP but not like German I think The AP on Devonshire is Good but HE is Great
