Hey to be real, this is probably the most badass cover ever, the only issue is it's half of the song, not to be rude but the solo does not start like that early, trust me I listen to the studio version. But however, this is good.
As you can read in the description, I shortened the track because the rest of it was mostly the same thing played again... Quicker to do on limited time and still gets most of the parts in. :)
I'd been playing for 7 years when I recorded this, but you probably don't need that many. Will depend on how much you practice. :) Left-handedness won't slow you down at all. Left-handed guitars exist, though many left-handed players also learned to play on "normal" guitars.
This cover motivated me to pick up guitar 10 years ago (there's probably a comment somewhere from me). Took me a while to end up actually getting a guitar but I did in 2014, and 10 years later I might not be quite as good as you are here, but I'm getting there :-) As well as being a really awesome cover, it was super inspirational to me particularly growing up.

For some reason I decided to watch this video again, and I saw a huge spike in retention at 1:31. Those of you learning the song must have been confused by my hand motion - the chord is actually open and I was ADHDing with my fretting hand! I'm playing the open A and E strings there, so because my fretting hand doesn't need to do anything, I absent-mindedly moved it up and down the neck while waiting for the next chord. That's all!
i saw this so many years ago and looked at it again today then looked at some of your newer stuff. seeing you so much older brought tears to my eyes because back then i had just started playing guitar and i used to watch this relentlessly to figure out how to play it. i was so inspired by your playing all those years ago. glad to see your still playing man never stop!
