Yes you're right. The old insulation had no paper on it... By firing out the 2 x 4 stud with 2x2s. And doubling my insulation. It's now so toasty in the winter, and one big air conditioner turns to place into an icebox in the middle of the summer. So I got no complaints. 🕺
