I have it (130, manual 6 gear version) , and I'm generally happy about it. Pros: really light and fast car, spacious (I mean REALLY spacious for a city car - boot is bigger than in my friends Astra - 410vs370 liters), reasonably comfortable, and safe (5 stars), high suspension works in light terrain drive. Cons: gearbox is mediocre - it works, but not pleasant. For a mixed-use purpose (most in the city, sometimes longer drive) it's perfect car for me. I will never go back to hatchbacks (Corsa) after this - almost same dimensions (easy to park, maneuverable), but so much more space inside, you don't have to be afraid of the dirt road, and you can sit straight (you don't have lie down when you get in, like in sedan-type cars - it helps when you have passengers with motion sickness).
I'm 6'0" and tried to get into this car and almost knocked the top of my head off... getting out, I was quite a bit more cautious, but, still scrapped the top of my head on the top of the door opening... Mazda must have forgotten to resize this car for the American market before they shipped them over here... I tried the CX5, though a bit larger car, it was no problem to get in and out of.
Hi buddy, sorry for not getting back to you. The cars amazing mate. I had a few new cars over the years but I can honestly say she's the best so far. It's so easy to drive and quiet.. Me and the wife can have a decent conversation when driving unlike our last car. I often get caught out by trying to turn the car on when it's already ticking over as it's that quiet. Fuel is not bad either. I'm getting around 100 miles to £10 which is not that bad. On the motorway I've had 70 miles per gallon when driving at the right speed but mainly 60 plus. Not bad for 14 petrol. The different driving modes are cool as well. The sport mode makes the steering heavier and the suspension a little stiffer.. pretty clever when you put your foot down. It's nice to have plenty of power when you need it and boy is there some power there. Handbrake concerns are non existent now. What a clear bit of kit. Not sure on the hill assist when going down hill though. Sat nav took a little while to get used to but now I've changed it to 3d viewing it's much better. DAB radio has loads of channels to choose from and I've also managed to mirror my whole phone to the screen so I can actually watch movies when waiting for the wife whilst she's doing the shopping. so much more I could say about the car. I'm a very happy Seat owner at the moment. I hope it doesn't change. oh and no I haven't slept all night in it lol.
Some interiors on other cars look gareish and over the top and there is too much going on. So if the Leon's interior is boring cos it is laid out properly and is smart rather than stuff here there and everywhere then I will take boring everyday.
Yeah it works along side with the autohold and just keeps you stationary when you want it. Ha yes the windows feature is very nice and classy it's a nice touch. Also works going back up. Yeah I bet that engine is nippy and I imagine you will get quite good mpg out of it too. Is it the one with the active cylinder technology that suits down 2 of the cylinders' when it doesn't need them? Im jealous of you LED headlights lol. But its something to look forward to on my next model ha. I think the 5 door is a nicer shape than the SC and obviously more convenient not having to pull seats back and forth when passengers enter. Some reviews have been having a go at it saying its a boring interior. Personally I think its spot on, good layout, feels like a really nice place driving it at night time with the lighting if dials and buttons. Have you played around with your ambient lighting? That's the other thing im jealous about. I would have it on that sharp blue colour and the highest intensity if I was you! Im chuffed for you pal. Where abouts are you based?
Yeah I am loving it. I've been testing my eco driving, seat official figures say it will do 57mpg I have had a few journeys that have been 40 miles or so and averaged 60.2 mpg ( I have had to drive it carefully mind) but it just goes to show this car can be very economical. Obviously that will differ with the engine you have in your fr. Have you got a delivery date?

Hi buddy, I've got her... she's stunning. it's only been a few days but what a pleasure to drive. so much power even in the eco mode and so so quiet. I can't hear the engine at all from inside the car. I've managed to mirror link my phone completely to the car and everything plays on it even RU-vid etc. so much to look at and play with. I've already washed it twice lol how's yours going?
Ha thank you, I would love that but unfortunately I'm a bit too inexperienced at driving. if there are any more queries or anything else that you would like to know or try out on your behalf feel free to get in touch mate. I've loved showing people it. the touchscreen looks really smart, considering it's not an FR it looks sporty with the 'dynamic 3' alloys and the tinted rear windows and obviously the more prominent crease lines.
It's brilliant, I can't fault the handbrake at all, it's a lot more convenient and when you have learnt to give it your total faith and trust it becomes something you just forget about. And it is surprisingly satisfying to manually click the handbrake switch up.The 8" touchscreen is crisp and great to touch. Going through the menus and choosing your options on the screen is brilliant. The sat nav is brilliant and offers a lot of assistance and is so smooth following the car, no jerkiness at all and the resolution is crisp. The only criticism that I have is that the zooming in and out can sometimes be a bit difficult with pinching the screen in and out. You have to be a little more forceful than when you are tapping the screen to simply select options. ( there may be a sensitivity slider) I have not looked yet. But that is me being very critical. The 3.5" trip screen between the dials is under rated, its brilliant at assisting you with directions and the information that you can cycle through. The voice recognition is also spot on and the sat nav woman is brilliant, she says the right instructions at the exact time you want them. The instrument cluster looks great and just makes you want to keep driving with them bright white dials staring up at you. As you can tell, I am very excited and happy at the moment. Obviously it's very early days but if it carries on like this Seat is going to have a very happy customer. it feels elegant and grown up and you can chuck it into country roads and enjoy the handling around the corners. There are tonnes for me to try and investigate and try out.. cruise control etc. The radio is great yeah, the phone is easy to connect via bluetooth and displays contacts/ messages etc. I assume you will have the full link function..? which you will have to investigate yourself.

Also the peppy 1.2 tsi engine seems basically un-stallable, I have only driven diesels before this car and I know the change in engines does have a big difference in the way they drive but I am really surprised about the smoothness and low rev capability of this engine. I am one happy chappy

Hi Sean, The car is wonderful, It is much more than I was expecting, I don't want to get out of it ha! I drove it back from Huddersfield last night across the pennines in the sun and it was just glorious. The feel, the function and systems, the look, I think I'm in love ha. And I tell you what, considering I was nervous about the electronic handbrake and auto hold, after about 5 minutes I loved it, it is so efficient and will never leave you in the lurch. It's so safety savvy and just automatically disengages when you want to move. Much prefer it to the conventional ratchet design. What's the update with your fr?
Hi Sean, hope your well, i have been to the dealership today to sign the rest of the documents. the car actually arrived at the dealership this morning which was a total surprise so i was able to go and see it and have a walk around it from the outside and it looks great i am so excited. cant believe how an order on a piece of paper 8 weeks ago yeaterday has turned into a brand new car in front of my eyes. They still neee to carry some checks out with the pre delivery inspection and to valet it. but i am going to collect it monday evening! I can not wait

I'm guessing the waiting list in the factory in Barcelona is back logged with FR orders. suppose was always going to be the case with it being a mid life facelift.
juat received an Email from the dealer saying my car has been regiatered by the DVLA and been given its reg plates. its all becoming that little bit more real!
That has been a while. I can see there are added complications with it being the facelifted model... However I ordered my new facelifted SE dynamic Technology in nevada white on the 19th March and It has been made and shipped to England over the weekend and is now in a port in the South waiting to be transported up to the North. Obviously your car is a different trim and I believe fr's do have a slightly longer waiting time. I am due to have my car mid next week. I am really looking forward to it as it is my first car and I think it is a well kitted- out car for the money. The fr would obviously be nice to have but I saw the new dynamic technology in the flesh the other day for the first time ( my mates girlfriend had it as a company car for the day) and it looks more striking and attractive in real life than in pictures ( and it looked good anyway). The only down side with the new SE dynamic technology is that full LED headlights are an optional extra at £1025. you do get the re-sculpted LED daytime running lights which are small but very smart but its back to halogen headlamps. However the new 8" touchscreen and everything that comes with it is good kit and the rear parking sensors. Keep in touch with how you get on.
morning mate, You must be so excited. The Nevada white is lovely. My last two vehicles were white and to be honest I would have had another one if the wife had let me lol. I'm desperately waiting for some news on my car. I let my old car go in February based on a March delivery on the Leon so I've been quiet a while now with no car. We sure do take our cars for granted. I'm missing a set of wheels for work, day to day stuff and just getting out on rest days. let me know when yours have arrived. 👍👍
Yeah I am, very excited, I just hope there aren't any unexpected complications from now till taking delivery. I've been sharing my girlfriends 1 series for the past few months since I passed my test but can't wait to have something of my own with full responsibility of. The electric parking brake is something I am going to have to get used to lol! I think I will be nervous the first few times leaving it on a hill hoping that the technology of a switch will keep it in place! The touch that I love about the fr and am very jealous about is not only the full LED headlights but the ambient lighting that you can change the colour and intensity of in the cabin. I would love to have that function in the dynamic technology.
