Amen., Pastor Kevin Nangin hi, i'm a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church here in Butuan city lead by Brother John Sisles God Bless Your Ministry Pastor🙏🙏🙏
No problem. You have already posted so many excellent devotionals that I learned something new every time I re-listened them. That's the beauty of the Bible. May God bless all your new projects too!
I'm not SDA, but I'd like to keep the Sabbath Holy, is there any scriptural basis for Sunday worship? As far as I can tell, to the Catholics it's a "symbol of the church's authority" and the language around the Sabbath like Exodus 31:12-18 it's a perpetual covenant throughout our generations and is a SIGN.... The same language is around celebrating Passover, is it possible that these "signs and symbols" might have to do with the two different "marks" we see people having in the end times prophecies? I promise I'm not trying to do any holier than thou stuff, it's something that's been on my heart for a few months and I really like how you explain things, so thank you if you can help, and if not that's okay too. I hope God blesses you, your family, and your ministry. thank you.
Hi, I normally turn comments off because in the past, I've had people leave nasty and inappropriate comments and links. This one slipped through the cracks, but I am thankful that you are respectful, and I will be happy to do my best to answer your inquiry: I find no scriptural basis to have church service on Sunday or any day for that matter. The New Testament church did not seem to have a specific day of the week that they met; in fact, it would appear the early church met/gathered together pretty close to every day. The tradition of meeting on Sunday likely came from the Catholic church, whose doctrine I am largely opposed to. However, this one tradition of theirs of meeting on Sunday I am fine with because it is not necessarily "unscriptural" and I do like starting off the week (Sunday is the first day of the week, whereas the Sabbath is the last) with gathering together in the name of Jesus and hearing the preaching of His Word. As far as the commandment of the sabbath and the passage you provided: Exodus 31:12-18 - It says in verses 16 and 17 that this particular strict adherence to this law is for the nation of Israel. This was a political commandment for the nation of Israel with a spiritual application for us as well. I explain the application to us, the church, and even for man before the nation of Israel was formed, in my sermon on the 10 commandments. This was a 2 part series, and the commandment about the sabbath was mentioned in Part 1. Here is the link, if you are interested in my take on it: ru-vid.comaAmVpUvq30s As far as a link between the sabbath and the end times, I do not see any link, but I will pray and search it out and perhaps God will reveal to me in His Word any such connection. Thank you for your inquiry and kind words. I pray The Lord will bless you and yours as well. In Christ, Pastor Kevin Nangin
@@gospellightbaptistchurch7671 thank you for replying, if you prefer I can send any more inquiries to the email on your church website. I will say though upon a little reflection on your answer, maybe I'm thinking to much into what it means to be grafted into the olive tree (in Romans 11 I believe) lol honestly I'm pretty new at all of this, even though I grew up in the church, regretfully I never opened the Bible outside of church until I was well into my mid 20s x.x And let me just say thank you for your time, both with making these videos and with commenting back, you're a true blessing and I'm glad you haven't let the nasty comments stop the good work you do on here. I've seen bad pastors and it's easy to get alienated and personally online ministries have really helped.
@@xleftoverpizzax Please feel free to email me any time with any Bible questions, and I will do my best to answer them. Praise The Lord for your hunger for Truth! I look forward to hearing from you. Have a blessed weekend. In Christ, Pastor Kevin Nangin
Good points. Thanks for pointing out that we need to seek God and not get distracted or sidetracked by the herd. Even as Christians, the devil would love for us to loose sight of going about our Father's business.
