Would you stay at this hotel again ? My wife and I are considering making a trip to Cardiff later in the year and have always been a fan of the Premier Inn. We have been to London, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, York, Liverpool and Manchester over the past 2 years and have always been delighted with the quality of the Premier Inn hotels .. We hope for the same in Cardiff too.
Great place to go and the football astro turf was great. The only thing wrong was probably the children's pool's aside form that great place they also give free ice cream for premium
Just come back from the same hotel second time there hope you had a fab time only thing that spoiled our holiday was the jet 2 ground staff at faro very rude and disrespectful to my son with autism and not very helpful at all don’t no how they get jobs in customer service and she was English to so rude to us 🥹🥹🥹
We took two buses from the hotel. The bus stop us across the road from the hotel to the city centre. Then the airport bus. Journey takes about an hour.
When I was doing my masters in Wales, I used to do housekeeping at this hotel. The staff was great. It's not an easy job. The best times where when a guest left behind something nice like a bottle of cider, chocolate etc. Once time I got expensive coffee.
Haha, I have just come home yesterday from this hotel, I was in room 315 and it was great!! I loved the restaurant buffet and I loved the other restaurant with the Baby Grand Piano In, I actually played Chiquitita on that Petrof Baby Grand Piano and it sounded amazing!! My holiday wasn’t as good as this one though as there wasn’t a pool party, instead there was a like Dance thing on about every 1h or it would be pool activities, the toilet button unit kept coming off and we did have to keep clipping it back on, the shower base too, looked like something sticky has been there and when it’s been pulled off, it’s left a lot of dried residue. Drainage too, would come out of the shower to find a little pool of water from where there is no ridge to stop water from dripping out. But all in all that was just hotel room problems, it was great there and I would definitely go back again (mainly for the piano 😂), but I would recommend it, (if you get the tour bus to the old town, also watch out for the restaurant workers trying to get you to get you to go eat from their restaurant) but anyway 4.6 out of 5 stars from me
I'm glad you had a good time. I don't think that the pool party has started yet. I still follow the hotel on instagram. The pool party was fortnight on a Friday, so we were lucky. The piano restaurant was lush xx
I'm going in July too! 😊 btw I had to book what activities I'm gonna be doing since there will be loads even for 14 years old and any age tbh the show looks quite good!
We booked a trip here at Minehead for 5 days and the conditions of the accommodations were horrendous, we had blood, faeces, mould and other stains over the bedding and pillows and the mattresses where badly stained. Broken window glass in the bedroom, mould in the bathroom and so on, food still left up the floor from previous guests, broken drawers in bedrooms, stains and drip marks up the walls, the list goes on. Got the cleaners back out to clean the day we came and they didn’t make a difference, we had to sleep their that night with are 4 children ( didn’t get no sleep ) called them again the next morning they changed the bedding ( not the mattresses ) but replaced them with more stained bedding and mould over the pillowcases. We asked for a refund because at this point we just wanted to go home, only to be told that if we waited awhile longer they would move us to 2 different apartments in 2 different locations and split our family up because the accommodation they offered was too small/ downsized/down graded than what we paid for, went and had a look because they practically made us and it they were just has dirty has the one we were in, we continued to ask for a refund and kept being told to wait, turns out it was because they were waiting so they could close and we would have to stay another night, after 5 hours of waiting around talking to a number of staff that were absolutely no help we decided to make the 3 hour journey home with our 4 children at 8 o’clock at night without a refund or even a sorry for that matter. Please avoid.
@Loillpopx23 yes, you cross the road from the hotel and walk down towards the centre. There are many cafes and restaurants along the way before you get to the shops x
Ooh we stayed in one of these about 5 years ago when they were the silver apartments and we very nearly didn't return to Butlins after it 🙈 It looks like there have been some slight upgrades to these apartments with the rename as they were just camp beds when we stayed there! Still, you get everything that you need in there don't you
