When the fan goes too fast the temp coil inside the module busted so yes the whole fan has to be replaced inless u kno some magic or aliens n can fix the coil...it no longer can guadge the temp so it blows the fuse inside n the fan looses control
Gas is all the same. The government is up the ass of these companies to produce clean fuel. You cant buy poor quality gasoline. Some companies add a bit more detergents. If you ask them how much more detergents they won’t tell you it’s a secret formula. 😂😂😂😂. Just buy the cheapest gasoline and toss in a bottle of Techron once in awhile. Techron is what Chevron uses as a detergent in there gasolines and is considered the best gasoline you can buy.
My big question is how to replace JUST the module, and not the whole fan. It just unbolts from the fan housing, but the two wires into the fan motor don't seem to disconnect. I could always cut and solder them back, but hope someone else figured it out. There does seem to be a bolt holding the top cover on the motor? If its undone will the cover come off and the wires can be removed easily?? Someone needs to make a video on how to do this, I can't find one.
No need to go out of your way to Costco for gasoline but if you are a member get your gasoline there they usually have a good price. All gasoline is the same. Top Tier companies add a bit more detergent to there gasolines. Buy gasoline at the cheapest stations and add a bottle of Techron to your gas tank once in awhile. Techron is what Chevron gasoline adds to its fuel and it is considered the best top tier gasolines. You can buy Techron at most any auto parts store.
Hi I got a print out , and it says it needs a sensor, but yesterday I smelled gas and boom it stalled on me at a light and had to get pushed, so the mechanic says I need a new fuel pump, I have a volvo s80 .. so do you think I need both?
My last '04 S60 T5 AWD with 175k had a metal tank. My current '04 S60 T5 AWD with 88k (higher VIN) has a plastic fuel tank. Many changes took place mid year 2004. PEM, FPR, Fuel Pump/tank to name a few. Some later '04's were blessed with HID headlights, but both of mine had (have) halogens. In the market for an '07 S60R, anyone?
Maybe the plastic versus steel fuel tank question comes down to what vehicle platform that model is on (S80's are early Ford Mondeo) & what was fitted to that; & what main market vehicle regulations demand.
On idle with AC-on and temperature set to 16 degree celsius and with normal engine temperature my engine fan/ac-fan is turning on and off every second. Really annoying. Gearbox set to Neutral, handbrake on. ECC set to Auto. When i start to drive in city or outside the engine temperature falls to the line next to "middle" and also a little less. And when im parked again at idle the gauge is raising to normal temp in like 5min again. really annoying. Volvo S40 2006
Ffs. Why didn’t you just upload the video after you solved a stupid issue like that. (No fuel) And second of all. Hold the key in start position until the lines have primed back up.
In my case (XC70 2.5 AWD 2010) the little fan is not starting (and I cannot use the AC). When I stop the car in hot weather the big fan start functioning once the engine is off. It stops after 2-3 minutes. Starting the engine again starts the big fan depending on the temperature, then it stops. If the weather is cool the big fan does not start at the beginning, only from time to time, I guess when needed. The little one is always down, and sometimes I'm running the car without both fans. I'm thinking of replacing the whole piece. Shall I check another thing? My "mechanic" hasn't figured out and he's just pretty much charging me for resetting the fail in the computer. He did it twice and both fans worked including the AC. But after 2-3 days, again the AC was down, the little one is not working, and the big fan starts in hot weather and on cool weather starts just "when needed I guess". Help. Thanks!
Exactly.. I did it the same when i replacing fuel pump.. At quarter level of fuel the pump motor burnt out after doing several attempts of engine start.. Then after i learnt that this ideology by experiances.. This shit pumps only works under covered by the fuel all time..Even 2 seconds it cant run without of fuel presence or even a quarter level of fuel inside the tank at first priming..
What was your point in doing that video other than do make offensive, racist comments so your friend would think you are helpful. You didn't didn't review the product or how to troubleshoot problems with it. Get a life idiot.
This is not the proper way to prime your fuel pump after installation.First off, most fuel pump manufacturers recommend cleaning the fuel tank to ensure no debris inside the tank can damage the new fuel pump.Second, add a minimum of 10 gallons of fuel.Third, prime the fuel pump by cycling the ignition on and off for about 10 cycles.Once complete, start the vehicle.
Thanks for the great info.. Today just i replaced the pump in my Touareg V.6..engine didnt start but i feels its tries to start by somewhere. After doing several attempts finally battery goes down.. I think to tomorrow morning to try with jump start for this i removed the battery positive line from battery terminal to freshly setup PCM.
@@emilbelliard3333 No brother.. It was my fuel pump i got from junk yard.. Its faulty.. So i replaced with them another..on seconds its starts very fine on second attempt...still runs fine..in my case No need to prime or reset computer anything..
@@emilbelliard3333 but dont forget to refill the tank full of fuel before starts the engine after replacing the fuel pump...when first time replaced I did it start the engine with quarter level of tank thats may be the reason pump again get overheated and short the winding..2nd time i learn it that the fuel pump works only by cooling and lubricated by the fuel inside the tank.. Running a fuel pump long time even 2 minutes unless fuel inside the tank cause overheat and grounded quickly..So be cautious..the fuel pump should be inserted properly and it should be covered with fuel all time at first attempt or priming..
