11:10 - it is very easy to chip the paint on the tank/frame (ask me how I know!) when lifting the tank. Put some soft towel between frame and front of tank to avoid it. Thanks for the video - very good.
@@percentbigfoot well..I/the USA need to get the bike first. I have one of the first orders in the United States and I should be able to give my review shortly there after. I am guessing it will be in September of 2024.
Interesting, so all those Royal Enfield's that were shown off you don't like? 68 years India has been producing Royal Enfields, longer than they were ever produced in UK. There's this weird misnomer that India has only just recently taken over Royal Enfield, and that the quality has dropped off. You can pretty much say the exact opposite has happened
Baxter has even more parts and tanks stored all over Marne. I got my Himalayan from Jeremy after the Fourth of July last year. He, and Baxter Cycle are awesome to deal with! 😁
I want to make a correction to your (1.) statement. If you approach the bike and first shift it into neutral then you can start the engine. I have a new Meteor and I generally do this - start the bike and let it idle and warm up for a minute. On the side stand. It is true, I have found, that when you are riding and you come to a stop, if you push the kickstand down, Yes the engine stops. If you put it into neutral on the side stand then you can start it.
Woohoo finally found one in American English language. It's like a breath of fresh air from all the India and England ones I've been watching. Especially those Indian ones, my God! They start in English then like 1 minute in the video it's all Hindi. LOL Made this so simple and easy to understand and big thanks for mentioning the tools and specifically the sizes(and in text on the video!) of everything. I'm coming from the car world and was a little intimidated since I have never worked on a Motorcycle, but I have worked on plenty of cars. I didn't realize how easy these Royal Enfield 350 bikes are to work on. It's like the simple man's engine. Thank you for posting!
I couldn’t find your video on the pan America skid plate you put on . I bought a 23 PA and was curious what skid plate you would recommend. I plan on doing some easy adventure riding with it but I want something decent in case I come across something in the trail and want some good protection. I’m a little concerned with bolting the SP directly to the motor .
Thank you , love your videos. I know the gearhead junction has a limited amount of spots but I’d like to try to go to the next one looks like a lot of fun
@@jgigs6569 thanks so much! That is right, Gearhead only has limited slots. However, it is totally worth it to go with rides from novice to expert. All are welcome and everyone has such a good time.
I have a Meteor and a Hunter. Fasinating how 2 bikes build around the same platform are so totally different in every aspect. Some complain about the Meteor's sloppy gear change. There is an upgrade kit on eBay which replaces the shifter pivot for a precision item and a ball end linkage. The difference is transformational. Also, the rear shocks are a bit harsh and can really jar the back. Was looking to change them. A RU-vidr tip advised original Hunter shocks. Totally solved the problem.. Lovely bike. Everyone talks about beginners but it's the perfect old timers bike.
Looks much tidier 👍 and I am so in awe of your let’s-get-this-done attitude to piecing it all together, even one handed, no fannying around, as we might say here in the uk! Hopefully by the time I get to persuade my bank balance I need a Del Mar in my life, there’ll be a uk/Europe kit with a tail/brake light that traces the radius beneath the top panel with tiny pin lights for the indicators/turn signals/blinkers - that would top off what is such a great looking bike, but yeah, those fender contraptions are hideous 🫡
Thanks Dennis! I like the UK intigrated tail light look better. Together with a tail tidy kit it would be 🔥!! If you need to be persuaded check out this video..kind of long but eye opening… ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2-0LAmPjEAE.htmlsi=5j1nl9ujrdiWrKo_
Oh man, I feel ya on this! I tried to get the part number but the mechanic didn’t have it on hand, and I looked on the paperwork. It wasn’t there. You’ll probably have to just call any Royal Enfield dealer to find out the part number.
@@MikeMcRoberts you know, I see what your saying. Yeah, the GoPro footage shows a touch darker then the rest of the video. Sorry if it distracts..btw, I loved the bike so much, I bought one! I just picked up an '83 GS850L, also in the maroon color configuration. I can't wait to clean and tune the carbs up and get onto carving the Southeast Ohio hills where I live. Great video. Thanks so much.
I grew up with one of these, an 88, and it did have the V6, but no CD player (we had the cassette instead). We had it all through my childhood until my senior year in high school. So this brings back memories. :-)
The crash bars look good. I have question about your Seat Concept seat. I see it is the tall version. Does it incline you toward the tank at all? My dealer has one of his own and he says the seat does that to him. I'm deciding between buying a regular height or tall one.
Thanks! Royal Enfield Himalayan Seat Concepts Tall Seat install ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ezEZ5nmiEBA.html I’ve had my tall seat for about 4 year I don’t think it really pushes me towards the front, but had it so long that I may just be used to it.
I have one, and that clutch is just too, too Heavy! makes the bike difficult to ride! I wish it was a way to soften it up! I,m thinking of getting rid of mine because of that damn hard heavy clutch!
I’m not 100% sure of your comment. Is it a question, is it a statement? I don’t quite understand. Did I pay anyone to bolt parts on? No. Would other people have to pay to get parts bolted on? I’m sure they would have to if they couldn’t do that themselves.
@@MCCJustMotos Im just referring to Built vs Bought. But nonetheless, i actually really enjoyed the video and not trying to take anything away from it.
@@mancavecustoms13Thanks, I personally get more satisfaction working on my own stuff, to the max extent I can. I know not everyone has the time or knowledge to do it themselves. I don’t try and state which way is best in my videos, just give everyone the best facts I can. Cheers!
