The soundtrack for Persian 2009 and An Là 2008 are very similar. Both programmes’ headline beds sound exactly the same (apart from the pitch). The opening themes follow a similar 4-chord progression (the 4 chords are at 1:36, 1:37, 1:38 and 1:40)
The 5 am bulletin is a hybrid between old and new because of the use of old elements (such as N24 branding, countdown, ticker) and the new elements (new titles, World News branding). I also heard that the 5am bulletin had a very rare short ending theme which is not used today. It sounded like a buildup with soft strings, followed by a rising chord, and a very short 3-second abridged theme. I find it interesting how they have both the old and new title sequences in the same studio.
1:01 the titles sounds like a remix using: - 1:01 the start of Wales Today - 1:05 strings which sound similar to the 2013 News Channel titles (at the part where the News Channel logo forms up) - 1:07 the strings in the 2008 English Regions titles (and the 2008 English Regions theme was rearranged from the 1999 English Regions theme, there is a variation of the 2008 theme which has the exact beeping sound heard in the 1999 theme!)
This theme was rearranged from South East Today 2014. Similar to Wales Today, the headline bed hints at the main theme frequently (the 4-note synth, such as the one used at 0:04)
The additional strings and synth heard in the 2018 soundtrack (especially the strings at 1:08) gives it more character compared to the 2008 soundtrack The string stabs at 1:08 remind me of the string stabs in the 2013 News Channel theme (heard when the titles form up prior to transitioning into the trundle shot)
