What an amazing feat of journalism and historical safeguarding. I will never forget that day, where I was, what I was doing. May all the innocent rest in peace, and prayers for all of the amazing work done by first responders and firefighters. The day life changed irrevocably.
What If I Could Time Travel To Stop The Prevent Of The Oklahoma City Bombing To Save The Alfred P Murrah Building On April 19th 1995 And The Original World Trade Center Twin Towers On September 11th 2001 Who With Me 😠🤚
As a Long Islander who was born after the September 11th attacks, every year when this date passes all I hear of are crazy stories about this day. So many people I know have parents who had some reason they were late or not going to work that day. I know people who were only a couple blocks away and saw the dust clouds swarm the city. This video feels like I was right there. It's just horrifyingly insane.
_"There was peace and the world had an even tenor to its way. Nothing was revealed in the morning the trend of which was not known the night before. It seems to me that the disaster about to occur was the event that not only made the world rub its eyes and awake but woke it with a start keeping it moving at a rapidly accelerating pace ever since with less and less peace, satisfaction and happiness. To my mind the world of today awoke __-April 15th, 1912-__ September 11, 2001."_ -Jack Thayer (1894-1945), survivor of the sinking of the RMS Titanic, paraphrased.
1:15:34,holy crap,he or she just jumps, this footage shows their final moments.... thats crazy, i wonder what they saw going down, if they even had their eyes open
I feel for everyone involved in this day, its eye opening watching this evolve as an adult. I was a 11 when it happened and on the other side of the world in Australia, so I didnt know the gravity of the situation or even what the towers were. I remembered the footage and knowing it was bad, but in my innocence I didnt understand why it would affect me. Now as an adult, I'm watching this world changing moment with clearer eyes and understanding. Its heart breaking, from the absolute lack of power that these people had over this incident, the loss of life and the reverberations we still feel to this day.
This is an incredible work of journalism, way more complete than many 9/11 documentaries I've seen, thank you! I'd like to ask how you managed to sync Betty Ong and Nydia Gonzalez's call in real time, cause I've seen some sources saying it ended at about 8:44 (I assume by end they mean the "I think we might've lost her" bit). Again, thank you very much!
bro what is wrong with you, More disgusted about ads, then attacks that killed hundreds, yes there are worse incidents s than this but your still more disgusted by ads
I watched this video in its entirty at 2 am a couple of months ago and have not stopped thinking about it since. The level of detail convinced my brain this was happening in real time and had me itching to check for updates - despite realistically knowing it was 23 years ago! Genuinley brilliant work, I unserstand that you appear to be specifically interested in planes but if you ever make a video like this for another event i will be seated!
