This was mine too at about the same age! Saved up and was able to get it right before the summer between grades 6 and 7. It’s hard to overstate how much this thing meant to me… and how maddening its temperamental CD playback was

Hi Noe, Sounds Like The Little Rubber Belts Have Stretched Out. They Need To Be Replaced. I Don't Know How To Replace, But I'm Pretty Sure You Can Find Out How On A RU-vid Site.
I picked one up and got it today. No owner's manual. I have a tape, but how do you record something? What's the right combination of buttons to push/press?
I just picked up a National RQ-706 which looks exactly like the Panasonic. It came with the original box and owners manual but it is all in Japanese. The illustration shows pushing the record button while turning the control to play.
Although neither the printing, nor the copying quality is bad, the quality of the copying can be better by using the settings. In this case a bit darker setting can get similar results with the original.
