I'll be making videos on everything related to reptiles, amphibians & aquariums. I'll also be making tutorials on how to build bioactive habitats, feeding videos, outdoor herping, aquarium setups and more.

I wish i had more time to plan for this expo it was really nice compared to the one up in the northeast. amazed to spot the false water cobras and sunbeam snakes there! i took time off of work but clocked in anyhow coming back out various reasons of stress :[ loved the diversity of species and the inclusion of plant vendors
Awesome Expo!!!, So many cool Lifeforms!!! if One gets a spectacled Cayman do they come WITH the Spectacles, or would they need an eye exam first?! (Asking for a Friend)
Your enclosures were pretty awesome! and I also thank exoterra and sleepy scorpion for sending you out there because I think you do a fantastic job promoting reptiles and Expos across the country! (That's what you wanted me to say, right? 😉😝 Jk)
Glad you are out there making links with the other half of the country. Do we have any in Montreal or down in the East? Ive also heard nothing from Vancouver
My S. sthenodactylus just laid an egg. It's buried in the sand next the side of the enclosure (exo-terro; I can barely see it through the glass). Should I just leave it or remove it and try to incubate it?
If you can remove the egg safely without destroying it then do it! I’ve had better luck incubating myself than leaving in. If you think there’s a chance of cracking it (they are super delicate eggs) then leave it in. The mom will move it around to be in the best temperature!
The porcupine puffer tank is insane at the Toronto Zoo. Some of the reptile/amphibian enclosures could use some help though. Would love to steal from the greenhouse to make the enclosures nicer 😂😂
Awesome setup!!! Especially adding the fish, even if they don't eat them, still looks good and good for the habitat and water... My question is would you be able to incorporate preferably dart frogs? My dream is to figure out the reptile/fish/ frog combination in one enclosure!! I know mourning geckos are good, but repopulate too easily.
I’ve heard of people doing it but I would imagine that the dragons would be able to eat most species of dart frogs! I’ve never tried cohabbing them tho so I don’t know!
Only thing that i didnt like didnt look like there was much enrichment for the polar bears and was there no latin name for the giant bird eater tarantula as theres quite a few with the same name
I only showed a small part of the polar bear exhibit it was quite large! And yes I agree on the Latin names there was a few more tarantulas there aswell with just common names not Latin names!
Hahaha "...and look, sand!!" 😮 😂👍🏻 Been a very long time since I've been to the zoo and I remember nothing. Lol The rhino would be really amazing to see in person.
Hahaha I had to sneak it in 😆 That was my first time going since I was super young too I remembered nothing but it was awesome to see. The rhinos were incredible!
nice video ! what is the diferent between Stenodactylus sthenodactylus and Tropiocolotes steudneri ? which ones are the best biginner and can you keep them together?
Thank you! Stenos are quite abit larger than Tropicolotes and you can actually pick them up and handle them where as the tropicolotes are a look only species they are too tiny to handle. I think they both make awesome pets tho! I wouldn’t recommend putting them together an adult stenodactlyus could probably eat a tropicolotes!
It would depend on the shape/ type of tank. If you are talking about an aquarium I wouldn’t recommend it as it could be hard to get the right ventilation & air flow for them in that type of setup. They also are arboreal and need lots of climbing space so you would need a vertical more arboreal type of setup than an aquarium! 85 gallons in a vertical setup would be enough space for 2 capras tho!
@@daffysreptiles how do you get it to follow what you say the words follow what is being said and is opus clip on Google play store? And is it free to get the words to follow what you say
Hey Daffy, great Video! I had one male and two female's in an exo Terra 45x45x60cm. After i purchased them they turned from vibrant colors like urs to brown and red tale like the juveniles. Dont know exactly why. Did this ever happen to you? Sadly they all passed away after 6 Jears an now i dont know if i should rebuild my terrarium. I had them in a very naturalistic rainforests terrarium like the ones u use for poisen dart frogs. Tipps would be highly appreciatet.
Hey! Thank you! Unfortunately I don’t know why this happened with yours. Did you have uvb on them? Could also be from stress possibly? You should definitely rebuild your terrarium, you could keep quite a few gecko & frog species in an enclosure that size!
I was waiting about a month or so originally but then I moved them all into a tank covered in moss and hides and stopped separating them, I assume at that point the male was constantly after the females. They continued to breed but I did see less babies than when I separated!
The dragons in this clip are all Acanthosaura Capra so all same species however there are many different species of dragons in the Acanthosaura genus! And yes they come with lots of collar varieties, both males and females!!
