I purchased this very harmonica from Guitar Center for just over $50 . This was to be my first professional quality instrument . Well I am very disappointed to say the least . The # 2 draw reed was for the most part unplayable ? After working on it several times , it plays but with much effort . I really wanted this harmonica to be great ! I just order a Special 20 , hopefully their quality control is way better ? From now on I will personally stay away from Lee Oskar harmonicas . Good luck we’re going to need it apparently ?
I just purchased this harmonica in C from Guitar Centar for just over $50 This was to be my first professional quality harmonicas . Well to say I am disappointed is an understatement. The # 2 draw reed was just about unplayable. I worked on it several times and it plays but with much effort ? I just ordered a Special 20 in C to take this ones place . Hopefully their quality control is way better . I will not be buying more Lee Oscar’s again . I really wanted this to be a great harmonica , damn this is disappointing !
I just purchased my first Lee Oskar diatonic harmonica in C . I purchased it from Guitar Center for just over $50 . I thought because of the reviews this would be my first professional quality harmonica ? But right from the box the # 2 draw reed sucked and nearly made a sound ? After working on it several time . I have it playing but it requires a lot of effort . To say I am disappointed is an understatement . I just ordered a Special 20 in C to take this one place . Hopefully their quality control is better ? I guess they just don’t make things like they used to . I personally will avoid Lee Oskars from now on . Good luck we need it .
The album back in 1981 titled.. the music band Live recorded in Los Angeles California it's horrible horrible horrible .... Have some day they can play those songs somewhat the way they were recorded both the lowrider band and the fake War band I highly doubt it😊😊
I grew up with the band War and I appreciate a lot of his solo material ,,,, I just do not appreciate when he plays live the songs are un recognizable and he plays a very different notes I don't know why,,, I hope someday he can stop that and play the songs so that they are recognized ,,, the lowrider band and the fake War are horrible live shows❤
A diatonic harmonica layout chart looks like a crossword puzzle. So, why not make one, since harmonica players already know how to play such a board. It just needs a knob to select "key" and a knob to select "musical instrument" with pressure sensitive buttons. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3x65uo9WWtc.htmlsi=ZZF26wgMYKireU-b
I've owned many harmonicas over the years. Lee Oskar is one of my favorite harp players and I also enjoy playing his brand of harmonicas. The sound is completely unique and unlike any other brand out there!!
I love my L.Oskar A harmonic minor so much...i purchased a Lucky13 in A....and retuned it to exactly same as my lee oskar ...but have the extra lower octive! Tho my L.O. is a miles better harp which favours my playing....the lucky13 is however loads if fun on the whole scales
Just got my first Lee Oskar after playing Hohner my entire life. The Hohner Orchestrer (D Moll) from the 40’s reminds me of the Harmonic Minor and I’m in love with it. Wish I had the opportunity to meet Lee and play together
I used to be a Hohner guy, but two things changed my mind. The first is that Lee Oskar replacement reed plates cost half as much as Hohner's...making a set of Lee Oskar Harmonicas a _far_ less expensive long-term investment than Hohner. The second is that Lee Oskar is _hands down_ the smoothest "right out of the box" harmonica I've ever had the pleasure to play. Draw bends, blow bends, even over blows...all require less effort than any other harmonica I've used over the years, which is why Lee Oskar is all I play now.
Space, Call & Response, simple phrasing, repetition with variation... Thanks for all the reminders! This is a master class in how little things add up. P.S. I love that, when most others _rock_ back and forth to the music, Lee _twists._ A true individual!
Oscar truly appreciate your music that's been recorded but please stop playing solos on every song and make the songs unrecognizable.. Play the songs the way they were recorded you can do the solo afterwards or before but don't wreck every song like you've been doing for years and redoing everything on live stage ,,,,, proof of that is that live music band album it's horrible😂😢😮😅😅❤ it's a quick fix just play the songs the way they were recorded love you all❤
The very first time I played a Lee Oskar harmonica...right out of the box...was _also_ the easiest overblow I had ever played. Since that moment, I have dreamed that, one day, I would be an officially endorsed representative of the brand. So far, the closest I've come is that I helped Lee carry some gear out to his car while chatting after a workshop in Portland a few years ago. So far, my band has only released one album, and frankly that's not enough for Lee to make a properly informed endorsement decision, but someday... #lifegoals!!! Until then, I'll just keep on practicing and loving everything Lee releases...music, art, _harmonicas,_ and anything else he sees fit to explore, obviously including _this video._
