These are gorgeous & I plan on adapting some of the ideas for card making. I have long had a passion for medieval manuscripts, particularly private prayer books & now wonder why I've never bothered to incorporate the designs in my cards

Thank you for these detailed tutorials! I will definitely be making these books! I saw in your description that the Dresden foil is no longer available; but I am going to try using metallic card stock with my embossing dies - that should do the trick.

British twin... I love it!! 😻❤️🥰 KussKuss is SUCH a cool name! No, Lancelot isn't a Bengal, but people comment on his lovely colouring all the time. He has such attitude... he knows he's the king of his jungle, and assumes he's got royal blood in his veins! 😊😄
I have Lancelot's twin in chaos sitting quietly beside me, 5 minutes ago she (KussKuss) had the zoomies, murder mittens and all, tearing through my craft supplies! I think theres a picture of her on my channel page, she looks just like Lancelot. Heather Tracy at Thicketworks is always talking about Dresden foil/trim, it doesn't seem to exist here in the UK unless you want to buy vintage German bits which are really expensive and that is not to mention the shipping from the US! Looks lovely but I'll just keep cutting metal filigree into bits lol!

Oh, I love these just as much as the medieval manuscripts. They will be a beautiful addition to my miniature library - that I still have to build for them. 😂 I've been making a list of everything I need, and a list of all of the miniature books I want in my little library. I'm feeling pretty excited about this, and maybe a bit ambitious also, as I still have some other projects to finish up. ☺ I like keeping my hands busy. Making things is so much fun. i should be studying for college, but instead im here learning how to make replicas of ancient manuscripts cause somehow my brain says this is more usefull.

I think I can use the dental floss in some of the harness pieces I am going to attempt as sometimes its impossible to get thin enough leather with the required flexibility. I found that nail art caviar beads are a pretty good substitute for the mini nails as they give the effect without the cutting. I have some of that diamond glaze, dimensional glue/glaze and wondered if that could be used to raise the illuminations in the text a bit? This is wonderful, its like Christmas and I can get all my book and scroll needs to add detail to the big house. I also watch Thicketworks as shes done some beautiful Medieval settings which, unfortunately for me require a cricut machine, however lots of her ideas do translate both in scale and in the actual builds. If you think thats fiddly try doing 1:18th scale harness, this really looks like it will be helpful as it behaves like soft leather straps and I can see me getting a lot of use from the dental floss!
Hi Anne! 💗 You are welcome to use (and try) anything that your heart desires, or that you have lying around in your workshop. It's amazing what 'eureka' moments one can have with the simplest of supplies! Yeah, nail art supplies are just the best... bling, gold, texture. I CANNOT imagine working in 1:18th scale, it feels so incredibly difficult and seemingly needs more fiddling than my soul could handle! I honestly salute you! 😊👏🏼 I also follow Thicketworks... she is incredible! And yes, I do have a Cricut Maker, but I have yet to use it! Shameful actually, but there are so many ideas in my head that still have to come to light, so the Cricut has to wait a little longer! Oh this is wonderful, I'm so glad to have found you, I'm attempting to build a Medieval house in roughly 1:18th scale and, I'm sure a lot of these will translate nicely. Its a fantasy medieval scene so I'm not getting overly hung up on being exactly correct, the term fantasy is covering a multitude of sins. In general though I'm keeping as time appropriate as possible.
