Hi Dale, thankyou for your words. They remind me very much of the Zen proverbs. My mum was a great lover of quotations and proverbs, and i was forever sneaking off with her books. I always loved words, and the wisdom they hold. Quoting so few words can mean so much sometimes. I love quotes. "When you learn, teach, When you get, give". I believe this was written by Maya Angelou, but I won't swear to it. Again I need to refresh and relearn. I'm so sorry that I still haven't replied to some of your comments yet, i havent forgotten, I really haven't been great health wise, things just seem to get worse instead of better but I'm still battling through, althoughI've been feeling rather lost through it all. I do hope you can forgive me X😊
@@claudinedemantet Yes, it was her. Her poem STILL I RISE is great. You can feel the anger, truth, dichotomy and independence in each line. A great poem. Keep staying course and let the wind highlight your wellness. Be always true to self. You are a poet, writer, singer of songs, and sojourner of life's diversities. Keep moving. Keep sailing. Next...James Dean.
@@marisaelenenadiejamusiccom3974 Hi Marisa, thankyou, I'm so glad you like it. I love the oldies, they're the best. They have style and taste. So many people today don't know what that is. I am very versatile in my music tastes and I love a niche market. Thankyou for the lovely compliment, I have never felt very pretty. Your words are most appreciated. X
I love the whole style is so beautiful 1920s the voice is just so fitting and so beautiful in this as usual and I love the photographs and the choice of artwork. I love it.
I really love the string arrangements and the melody lines are so soothing and romantic. The clothing was absolutely gorgeous. Yes, it was a lovely time. People were romantic at least on the outside. Lots of laughs.
You look very lovely in the music is beautiful. I love the saxophone and your voice is as gorgeous as ever. It sounds like you’re having fun out there life! I would’ve liked to see you live!
@@marisaelenenadiejamusiccom3974 what very lovely words you give me, I thankyou so very much and I wish you could've been there too. I really hope to get back out there. It was great therapy for me too, after losing my mother. Covid messed up so much. I had a regular jazz band that I performed with at one point. I hope to see them again when I am feeling better in myself. How are you anyway? I worry about you, even though I am far away.
Well thankyou so very much. I'm pleased you liked it. They were all extremely fascinating people living in an exciting time in Paris, and i would loved to have been there. I'm glad you thought it sounded old, that was what i wanted to achieve wirh my singing it. Makes me feel like maybe I was there 😊
@@dalepointer9414 Hi Dale, well thankyou so kindly..they are a subject which has fascinated me for a long while. I am so pleased you liked it. I dont know Killer, was that Henry Miller? My father had Tropic of cancer and Three little birds, by Anais Nin, which I had sneaked peeks at when very young. We had rather a lot of early erotic books in the house and I had read the story of porn star, Linda Lovelace by the age of 12. I think Henry Miller could be quite vulgar sometimes, but also quite romantic in the way he wrote of the world, it was not always just about sex. You say it twisted your mind ? 😁 Finding these books later led to my interest in their story. I do believe Anais had an influence on his writing, or tried to, and also because of their love affair. Thankyou Dale 😁
@@claudinedemantet 'Killer' refers to his book MURDER THE MURDERER and the twisting of my mind was at that time I never read such hard, direct wording, course and crude, from a noted writer. It was not like Hemingway or Camus or any other novelist I read at the time. Definitely illustrated the REAL world in a crude realistic way. Thanks Lady C.
@@dalepointer9414 Ah yes, I know Murder the Murderer, and did wonder if you were referring to that. I have never read it but i do have knowledge of it. I quite like the crude reality, it reminds me a little of James Ellroy and his crime stories. Thankyou Dale 😁
@@claudinedemantet True, Ellroy is brilliant, blatant in brutality, his words like kives cutting into flesh, scraping the bone of personal death and desire of his beloved and yet despised mother, all the while, finding her spirit through the lost soul of Elizabeth Short. He's an odd but serious and insensitive man of exploitation, roaming serpentine alleyways, slithering like a snake illustrating the dark and perverted life of LA. In other words, a master of his genre.

Hello Dale, very good, I thankyou, as ever. I loved Valentino as a child, after reading a book on him that my mother had got for me. The book was my choice. I was about 11 years old then.. .please forgive my still not replying on other comments yet. I have been quite bad in health very much so lately. I have had to change Dr's too as I wasn't getting the help I needed. Hoping things may improve a little for me very soon , ive had a bad few weeks. Always look forward to your poems and comments. I do hope you are well. 😊

Oh wow, great poem you have written on Frida, Dale. I've always liked her paintings and thought she was very unusual looking, in a beautiful way. I knew she'd been through some rough times but didn't know much about her young life until the last few years. Very moving poem and very apt. Thankyou Dale. I'm so pleased you liked it, and yes she did have some great taste in music. I didn't realise she was half German either till a few years back. I thought she was full Mexican. Fascinating woman. 😊 Sorry I haven't replied on other video yet, I've not been too well but just been trying to put some short vids out to keep things going. I will reply as soon as. My best regards 😊
@@claudinedemantet Hope you're feeling better. Each day without pain is a great day. She was an extraordinary woman, psychological artist of the human soul. Continue your work. Great short videos. Stay positive, with cool wind behind your back.

@@dalepointer9414 THANKYOU DALE, VERY VERY GOOD AS EVER. Thought I'd try a David Lynch song and I've been fascinated with this short film for a while now. Lynch was actually inspired by this movie when he made MulhollandDrive and if you look, there are a few scenes, where you can see he has been influenced. 😁😁
@@dalepointer9414 Hi Dale, no I've never seen it, and I didn't know about it, but I have now watched that clip about the tortoise and I love it, the way he delivers that speech about the tortoise, so touching and emotive and correct in his description of it, and it's existence.. thankyou so much for sharing it. 😊😊 I gather you have watched this? I really had never heard about it.
@@claudinedemantet I'm a Harry Dean Stanton fan. This was his last movie. He and Lynch were good friends. Harry was in his 90s, drank, smoked and womanized. A gifted musician. It is a study of a man reaching the end of his life and looking back. He's like the tortoise, living a long time, with little friends. He too in his small house. Not much happened in his 90 plus years but that is life. Lady M lived a short extraordinary life, lightening the screen. She made people happy. Harry did too. He liked her style. Not your average movie. Imagine Lynch and Harry drinking in the desert. The stories
@@dalepointer9414Oh how I'd have loved to have heard their stories whilst smoking and drinking in the desert, I bet there were some fascinating conversations. @@dalepointer9414 Thanks Dale, a hint of erotica, very nice. I like it. Not a favourite movie of mine but I like the subject matter behind it. Would love to see a film noir version of this from around the fifties era any day, I reckon Billy Wilder could've made it and it would've been a classic. 😁😁
@@claudinedemantet A small burn of a poem. Thanks. Yes, he made some great movies. I like A FOREIGN AFFAIR and FIVE GRAVES TO CAIRO. All his work was good with Lady M. Great camera shots.
Do you have an awesome voice? I love your style too. I love your taste.. do you play instruments but I also like your taste in instrumentation! Awesome!
Hello, thankyou so much for your very lovely words. I appreciate it immensely. Thankyou, I like your tastes too. I don't really play an instrument, which I regret very much.
