Hey Thomas, a great Hollywood style instrumental... I heard soft strumming and a mellow melody played to a guitarist's perfection! Brings back many memories, including meeting the beautiful N.K. many years ago. You made my day on this quiet Sunday in the beginning of Autumn. 🙏🙏🙏
1st time hearing. A great nostalgic type of tune. I love these folkloric remembrances of a cherished homeland and culture. Again, you capture the essence of this piece (better than most I just listened to), and I enjoyed playing along with you. It ends with a hauntingly beautiful melody that solidifies its greatness. On second thought, the whole piece is hauntingly beautiful, but the ending did affect me.
@@thomasfriedt3059 Actually the last 8 bars, the ritardando is only the last 3 bars. For some reason, and I think it was the G# (following the F#) that started off the melody. The beginning of the song does not use the G# (following the F#) in this particular melody. The composer knew the effect this would have on the listener. I actually like the song now more than ever, it grows on you.
Nicht nur weil schon in meiner Kindheit es das Lieblingsstück im Plattenschrank meiner Eltern war, habe ich dein wunderbares Spiel gerade sehr genossen. 1A! LG IBen
Hi, Sir.....from th PH. I tried your version....and its simple, like one note at a time... I can easily follow up. I am starting with the melody. When I'm good at it, I hope to proceed to the chords...then the slamping. When I can play my guitar up then, like the melody. with the chords, then the slamping, I will text you, Sir. There are several versions out there, but your version seems to fit my level. I am so happy, Sir. Thank you.....and a happy thank you, Sir!
Just finishing my morning coffee and this came up and started playing along. With everything so quiet it felt like I was in a giant cathedral. The music makes you feel right at home in this simulated reality of the matrix. I understand it was a great favorite of John Lennon and Jimi Hendrix. Thank you Thomas, your presentation is solid and enjoyable in all respects!
Thomas, I have to tell you that I was having the time of my life playing along with you using my Theatre Organ voicing. Everything sounded so authentic. What a great combination. Definitely will use in my outdoor concert, somewhat like what Gary Booker did in the Netherlands... Ha Ha Ha!
Wow, a truly great instrumental of Whiter Shade of Pale. Played it non-stop, like being silently alone in Church this Sunday morning, experiencing the divine frequencies of this psychedelic musical masterpiece. A lot of pieces done by and related to Bach will do this to me. Thomas you truly are a great musician and guitarist, you captured the essence of this legendary piece.
Very good Thomas. Your creativity caused me to load up Amazon Music and listen to pieces from your three albums. Great resonance and a calming, meditative effect for me. I think it cooled me down from all this 100F degree heat I have been experiencing out here.
