Mine engineer by profession, ambassador for Ari Bikes (formerly Fezzari Bicycles), and completely nuts about human-powered adventure! From riding bike parks to re-discovering old long forgotten trails that have never seen a bike before (make sure it's legal!) to hiking all the places that my bike can't go to exploring out abandoned mine sites, there is so much amazing and wonderful stuff to see in this beautiful Earth! Doing it under the power of only your own mind and body is the best way to see it! Keep digging up new places to ride & adventure in the great outdoors, under your own power is always the best!
If you wanted to loop Cassidy and thunder mountain together and parking at the thunder mountain trail head, what would the climb to the Cassidy trail head be like?
@@minerbiker okay cool. I was thinking I’d park at thunder mountain and then bike over to loose canyon, then take Cassidy to thunder mountain and finish with that?
@@alexharry1863 the best way I've found to link Cassidy and Thunder Mountain into one ride is to park at the bottom of Thunder Mountain, go up the paved trail to the Cassidy TH, ride Cassidy all the way to the north to Casto Canyon, finish topping out of Casto, then connect back south on FS roads to the Coyote Hollow road that accesses the top of Thunder Mountain, and descend. Longer route than what you're thinking but you get the whole Cassidy trail and less riding on the paved path
Hey Minerbiker. How are you getting along with the coil on the La Sal Peak. I felt that I was having no mid stroke support with a RS ultimate coil - using a 500 spring 😮
@@bryanfulcher7162 while I was on the lift, there were two guys on unicycles riding down the double black upper part of Aspen Slalom. They were going slow but they were riding it! Super impressive!
@@keave1 Tsunami is definitely bigger than I can jump. I've done Tidal Wave other times at DV, just wasn't feeling it this time. I've always been way better at riding tech than jumps
@@minerbiker You could handle those jumps on tsunami. Almost every jump is table top. If you're short, no biggie. You're a better rider than I am and I ride tsunami every time I go to DV
A few years ago when all I had was the Fezzari Wasatch Peak I went in October when the lift was closed and we rode up on Holy Roller to the top and went down Naildriver. Bad idea! Not the greatest to do a chewed up downhill washboard trail on a hardtail! Haha! We got off that trail at the first intersection with the trail we went up.
I finally did it. Those rocks drove me nuts on the black segments! Next day from the cascade falls lot I rode clockwise above the lake and returned by the lake, that was lovely! 12mi on singletrack. I wonder if there's a more optimal route.
@@hks8255 they're both good but different. Overall I like Dark Hollow a bit better than Bunker, and I like Blowhard better than either of the other two
With the right spring rate, it's just as suportive and good for pedaling as an air shock. Only tiny downside is the slightly greater weight but it's not noticeable
hey man! that’s my ram promaster in the background!! 😂 i was there scouting out flying monkey. i’ve been working on some of the skills i need for it… i will be back soon. its funny i even remember those two red trucks.
@@dj_ath there were plenty of people who didn't like "Fezzari" either. Regardless of the name, the bikes' value and quality speak for themselves and the brand's customer service is top notch (before and after the name change).
@@minerbiker They built a little brand recognition. It sounded sporty. Watching a company shoot themselves in the foot in real time. The Fez head crew ect. Really really stupid should have changed the whole name then. Ari sounds like a temu bike company. Idiots
@@minerbiker beautiful I have my eyes set on the classics in clear not sure when il get it should be soon I'm excited coming from oem stock shimano hubs
Great content! A buddy of mine just told me about your channel! Good stuff! I will be heading thru that area late September this year from Maryland to check your trails out. I will definitely go thru all of your videos beforehand. Thanks for your work and videos!
Thanks for checking out the channel Awesome that you're coming for a visit. Tons of great stuff to ride and that'll be a great time of year for this area!

@@damonsallee2329 Notch Peak is "the second-highest pure vertical drop in the United States after El Capitan" officially. There's definitely other cliff faces as big or bigger, but this designation is what I referred to
I never thought I'd see another mountain biker that explores mines on a bike. I live in Arizona and one of my favorite things to do is ride my bike in the mountains on old jeep roads and explore mines. I've never found a mine I could ride in so seeing you riding in a mine was the coolest thing I've seen. That has got to be the ultimate mountain biking experience. Just found your channel and look forward to checking it out.
Nice to connect with a kindred spirit! I love exploring mine sites and areas on my bike, and this was definitely the coolest ever being able to ride inside! Thanks for finding and checking out the channel! Hope you enjoy it!
