I like playing with options but I don’t like all the variables you have to stay on top of to trade them on individual stocks. So I sell options on the triple leveraged indexes like UPRO, TNA and TQQQ. The regular indexes don’t have enough volatility to make the premiums interesting. I usually sell puts where I can make 1% and if they get assigned I turn around and sell calls at the money. I keep the cash to secure the puts in a money market paying 5% so I’m making money there plus the option premium. I should make 15-20% on my money this way but of course I would have made more just buying and holding the stock…

So many of these covered call funds being introduced. Do you think the value of the premiums will decrease over time as more are being sold to these ETFs? I'm a bit worried about this.

Yieldmax writes calls nearer the underlying price, Kurv gives the trade a little more room and writes out of the money calls. Is this about right? So in up trend Kurv will do better, in a down trend Yieldmax will do better.

I hope that's not the case you should cost average into index funds for the long term at best if you're struggling with personal investing or sometimes it's even better to just hire a mutual fund manager. There's no shame over 90% of people people will underperform the index over the longer term the sp500 over a 20 year period has never lost a gain. Patience and steadiness is better than most RU-vidrs stock recommendation.

Great advice here. Keep it simple, buy things you understand, take some risk but don’t try to shoot the lights out. Diversification is KEY! I use a CFA and it's a great hands off way to approach it, I conservatively follow *Lina Diniekiene's* recommendations and market entry and exit points, and tbh this makes it possible for me. Started in 2022 but with a lot of financial strength and in-depth research I did hit that coveted 100K and recently the 1m mark :)

Haha! I feel great about 'the market' as long as the companies (or ETFs) we invest in have strong earning trends. Over many decades, the prices will follow net earnings within about 0.5%. Nobody, can explain all the short-term noise so as an investor you should be galvanized to tune out the static. Build a nice system based on your risk tolerance and goals, stay the course and win this simple game in the long run.

@@wealthadventures I use zero commissions. So far so good but I know I could be missing out. I have been using the 10-13 delta for the shorts. It was easy the last coupla weeks after the melt down but today I noticed we are getting close to a top so I sold a OTM Call spread and that worked for small money but I am looking for something that works consistently in all markets. I have been playing with settings on the MACD (not the default) to see if it gives a signal that is reliable. My thinking is In a Bullish only Longs and Visa Versa In a Bearish market, shorts only (moving averages on the 4 hour chart for weekly trades and 1 hour for 2 day trades) and then fine tune the MACD to signal when to go long in a Bull and Short in a downturn. Just trying to think it through. All my profits I have been buying shares of SPY. BTW in all markets I Know I cant always be Bullish or Bearish but need to know when to think long or short, hence the Moving Average idea.. I will be looking at your channel for ideas.

Thanks for the video! I like SVOL and I think it's a great fund for income. I think that the ultimate test for the fund would be real Market crash with VIX over 100 and would really like to see where the bottom for the fund price would be. It's hard to say since vix calls will kick in and fund managers will also make lots of adjustment. Comparing this with SPY on total return for 1y or longer shows good result for SVOL. One day we will see what happens in market crash, but I believe that SVOL will outperform SPY(S&P) unless of course Market goes up for a long time. I still don't understand how VIX went up to 65 for just short period of time compared to 85 during Covid crash. This was a good test and SVOL held pretty well.
@wealthadventures
@wealthadventures 6 дней назад
It was a strange spike. I would think sustained elevated VIX would be the biggest issue for SVOL. That would really handcuff them into a decision.

Fr! The market started correcting almost immediately. But what if it hadn’t? If you do not have margin then a longer downtrend is ok if you don’t chicken out. But, what if you’re on margin and it didn’t get fixed a a day like this time?

@@RAri-rc3to I never do margin! And even if Market did not recover I would just hold SVOL. The only question is if they can sustain that 0.30 div if SVOL is trading at lower price for a longer period of time - say 3-4 months or more....

A market correction is minus 10%. If you consider the S&P 500 the market, then it did not go down 10% and this was not a market correction. Minus 5% to minus 10% is considered merely a pullback or dip. This happens almost every year. The only thing rare in all of this is the VIX spike. Best comment since many of your other comments are bots.
