This boss fight broke me honestly. I love Final Fantasy 16 and I’m going to platinum it someday but this boss fight was too much for me.

okay, for the air-slices something worked really well for me: move immediately to a large-enough hole, asap. And then, start firing arrows: with this you can basically stand in the air for long enough and do not risk of falling down right into the attack. With this, you don't have to time it that precisely!

I cant summon my mimic tear there for some reason?

So not only do you use the mimic tear, but you use consumables AND leveled up weapons? May as well be using wall hacks. Pathetic. Really looking forward to giving this DLC a try. However, this boss is way less interesting than previous bosses design wise , haha.

Just got done playing this fight. I almost broke my controller with how difficult this fight was. I remember having a rough time in Remake against Rufus but my God they took it to a whole new level in Rebirth.

Would not be surprised if the devs told translators to translate certain important lines differently than the Japanese version because that would go hand in hand with the multiverse/multi Gaia scenario they’ve built and also keep the fan theory engine going all the way up to the release of Part 3 (I think Max is correct on the title for it, either Reclaim, Return, or Returns). I like that you brought up Marlene and also I think Marle from Sector 7 of Remake is her from the future (and that’s a speculation I came to on my own).

Yeah cause its so fucking easy right. NOT. The easiest parts are the minigames surrounding the intel stones. No matter what i try he always uses the one hit. Its stupid. I love the fucking game but damn even on easy mode hes near impossible

I have a better method: fishing. Do all the fishing quests to get the Fantastic Bait, and spend maybe a half hour fishing in the Oasis to get all the element and polymer you'll ever need. D1G-g2r sells unlimited element of all types for micro cells/coils/motors, which you can buy from Clyde with fishing points. Kaya at Sister's junk sells unlimited polymer of all types for gold, which you can get by selling your fish to Barry. The fish you catch in Oasis with the Fantastic Bait are worth 360-450 fishing points each, as well as tons of gold each. I forget exactly, as I haven't needed gold for quite some time, but it's a lot. It's also probably the easiest way to get vitcoins (Clyde sells unlimited for fishing points) and WB pumps (Kaya sells unlimited for gold).

I dunno, if you had to beat it with summons, did you really beat it at all? How 'bout you git gud scrub? (I am bummed you can't name your mimic tear in game... )

Hoverstone with 4 hydrants on it pointing different directions. Drag it around with your ultra hand. Clears all sludge and point it at boss while he’s roaming will damage him to come up. Easy mode

This boss blows.

Man, the craziest thing happened to me earlier. I was headed to fight Orod, and along the way, nothing was dropping my health. When I faced him, I was getting my ass stomped, but I won with full health. The fight took forever, but I’m not complaining. 😂 Has anyone else experienced that glitch?

This boss was hard af

Tip for queen gibdo! I suggest collecting lots of shards of farosh’s spike as it does lots of damage to her and puts her in weakened state really fast! For phase two shoot one hive (or all) and stand in it dodging her attacks so gibdos don’t attack you when you focus on the Queen gibdo. Shoot her with a spike and rinse and repeat.

Now Sephiroth, this fella is still an absolute dolt in the new ones, haha.

@7:54 What a waste of that stagger opportunity. Odin’s been kick my ass in a way that nothing else in FFVII ever has. Whether that’s in the the original, Crisis Core, Dirge of Cerberus(obviously), or even Remake, and all of Rebirth. It’s on par with the Replica Data super boss fights in Kingom Hearts II and Kingdom Hearts III. I haven’t even attempted to fight the summons on Gilgamesh’s Island because of it. Though that’s with me not having a strategy. Even with a Strategy I can’t beat the all the Replica Data fights KH.
