Won t Limiting our hero pool to 2 or 3 hero effect on our gameplay later on? I mean imagine a 3 k mmr player reach 6k by spamming a hero which is meta then he reach 6 k and just can play 2 or 3 hero on 6 k braket and we can t learn a new hero there. What do we do then?
Quite the contrary, in the context of ranked pubs, the idea behind limiting your hero pool is that you will essentially cycle through a new set of heroes to exploit and/or spam every patch or so. This approach helps you constantly learn how to play and adapt to other heroes, even if you're not explicitly playing them yourself. Truth be told, a lot of players in my MMR bracket are terrible (myself included, lol), and I don’t consider myself or anyone, for that matter, to be "really good" unless they’re around the top 100 on the leaderboards. Despite my MMR being well above the average player base, Dota 2 has such a high skill ceiling that even I am still learning and improving at my level. I wouldn't worry about reaching 6K by playing only a couple of heroes you're good at, because when your MMR is in the four digits, nothing matters at that level anyway. Many pro players are now in the five-digit range, which is quickly becoming the new standard. Thanks for watching, and good luck out there!
I am not a professional player. Unlike Ws, I do not play Dota 2 for a living. I work a regular 9-to-5 job and play Dota 2 in my free time. I do agree that when comparing my MMR to that of a pro player's MMR, mine is quite low. Thank you for watching.
@@ssxvan This comment gonna hurt. You see RU-vid is free so many upload their video, even pro. So people will prefer to receive advise from pro instead of non pro. You might need to consider doing some fun video, niche video. I’m sorry if this offend you.
this is because of mmr inflation, which has been incredibly high recently because of crownfall. the skill difference is nowhere near as large as you might think, even though the gap in numbers seems huge. any immortal player has more than enough game knowledge to give general tips and advice to players - they dont tend to to consume this kind of content at that level anyways. the target audience is not pro players and the amount of people who are above 7.3k is incredibly thin
For a new player with prior MOBA experience, I recommend learning Ember Spirit, Pangolier, and Puck. One of the best pieces of advice I can offer to anyone looking to play Mid is to be proactive rather than reactive. These heroes excel at setting the pace of the game, disrupting teamfights, and can carry the game under the right circumstances. Thank you for watching!
“I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.” - Bruce Lee This quote is how I like to view things. By limiting your hero pool and the roles you play, you are concentrating all your effort on becoming very good at what you do. This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t learn more roles or heroes; that’s the beauty of Dota 2: everything can work.
