Those are green pendant and crystals 5 & 6. They are marked because they unlock certain things. Green pendant unlocks the Sahasrahla check (boots in vanilla) and Crystals 5 & 6 give access to the big bomb to blow up the wall to the great fairy in the pyramid.
I do TP and WW randos if you'd like to do those with me sometime. Not for any stakes, just for a bit of fun. It was actually thanks to you I invested more into WW randos. Seriously you heavily inspired me, not just with WW rando but also DK64Rando
I know this was three years ago, but your Poison Moth entrance => Gnarled Root Dungeon was the EXACT same thing I just got while playing another seed! The chances of two players getting the same entrance to dungeon match is 1/8192!!!! :O HOLY COW!!!!
I had no idea this game had a rando! Nice! I was only able to play Seasons as a kid, so seeing a rando of Ages is a brand new experience for me! The game audio in this video is a bit too loud, I want to hear what you have to say over the game! Otherwise, this is a great video, I'll be subbing!
Ocarina isn't my favorite randomizer to play (the Oracle games or Super Metroid easily take the cake) but it is still easily my favorite game. Very happy to see it being played here
Wow, yeah, the idea of having to back-route through D2 to get to a tricky entrance is wild. Like Tarm is pretty barren anyway aside from the sword pedestal, but imagine if the front door to Level 2 was in the graveyard and you had to backdoor into 2 and exit out the front door for one of the overworld checks that are normally locked behind the bell. Also, the Gasha Seed in the tunnel to Spring Tower was visible when you fell into the lava. I wonder if the time loss for taking that dip and seeing something you want outweighs the time save by skipping it if it's something you don't.
I love the Synergy with the Bell and the Star-shaped Ore here: Pirat: Damn, the Bell is in the Shop, I need this special Ore, better dig in the Sand. And there it is (just wrong sand)
Yes, a lot of times with advanced item placement for A Link To The Past. Most recent shitty seed had boots in Ganon's Tower, and no upgradeable swords until I got to Turtle Rock. Master sword was on Trinex, 3rd and final sword was in GT.
Item: Magnet gloves - such as amazing puzzle/platforming concept but down side BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE For dungeon: I wish we got more Hero's Cave in other games for all items trial
The mirror shield in this game is actually bugged. I can't remember exactly what the problem was, but there's some situation where you can hold down the shield button, use another item, and it won't use the mirror shield again, but it _will_ use the regular shield if you have it. Or something like that. Either way, it made it impossible to use the shield properly in combat after I had already developed muscle memory for using the shield a certain way after beating the entire game with it. The worst part about this bug is that NO ONE on the entire Internet acknowledges its existence. I feel like everyone must have played through the entire game without ever using the shield, because otherwise this bug would easily have jumped out at them. Or maybe nobody bothered getting the mirror shield because they stopped playing once they had beaten the game. Either way, I wish there was a rom patch that fixed this, and I'm thinking of looking into disassemblies/decomps of Minish Cap to see if I can't fix the problem myself.
Have you encountered a seed where you need to get exotic flower for progression? I swear I have that off but I still need it and it's been required of me 2/2 times
