I usually do PVD up to peripheral tear because I've heard it's important to remove vitreous from retina completely.. so I often experienced tear was enlarged.. Should I shave vitreous as much as I can? just like in this video?
By the look of those post operative photos most of the RPE came out with the coagulum, and probably quite a lot of receptors. To add to that in order to remove it you have to create a large scar in the paramecular area screwing up eccentric fixation function in that area. If you really want to remove the coagulum you would probably be better inverting the temporal retina and possibly even doing an RPE transplant at the same time. How this is better than a simple subretinal TPA, big dose of avastin and gas is not clear to me at all. To be honest it looks a bit like someone who has developed a transurethral appendicectomy. Just because you can do something that way doesn't necessarily mean you should.
Dear Sir, I have suffering from Coats Disease since January 2024. I have been given 6 Avastin Injections and two times laser. My present vision is 6/18. What should i do for my better treatment?
@@nominikhi667 no magic trick to prevent redetachments but i guess it you Do a good vit and clean up and laser the breaks and any other suspicious areas chances are slim..yes theoretically laser marks can cause breaks sometimes

I have done sor after rd but during sor doc at the end reinserted fresh oil so how long further i have to wait to remove oil. Vision with oil is very blurry
hi grat surgery doc, just was wondering why repeting pfcl air exchange for the second time ? why not simpley doing a pfcl silicone direct change to avoid the risk of a new slippage ? thank you
Thanks. I always do pfcl air exchange and if you keep the edges dry there is no slippage. In this case the slippage was triggered due to the bleed ..once we controlled the bleed then the repeat exchange was uneventful 👍👍
Hello sir, When you use the PFC under air do you have any trick to keep a good viewing, some times the air bubble get segmented? What tamponade have you used in this case? Thanks
Hello sir mera vision 6/9 tha pehle me chashma htvane ka soch Raha tha . But mere right eye ka parde hole tha uske wajah se detach tha . Fir scleral buckle surgery kiya . But abhi vapas parda hila he . Aisa bole or unhone laser se border banaya he. . Abhi vision 6/18 he to kya future me firse surgery se parda attached ho sakta he . Muze bahut tension hoti hai. Kya meri eye khatam to nahi ho jayegi. Please sir reply
