How do you set up loop recording and how do you make sure when you start your car the recording starts? Also, is there a way to still record and not have the camera displayed in the mirror?
I bought a car that came with this fitted and to be honest it's not that great. The main problem is that the SD card needs to be formatted to MOV, an Apple product. As I have a PC and there are no converters available online I think I'll have to bin the camera and buy something else.
Can u turn the picture of on the mirrow while driving and if u do this will it still recored a video.if u can let me know i would appriciate that thank you for sharing.
WARNING. Do not by cheap hoses off of Ebay. Get a decent one with a minimum 5 years warranty on it. I got a cheap one some months ago that was fitted by a garage and it has now split again. Lesson learned.
People saying image quailty is poor. The recording quality is good enough to prove your innosence in a crash or other situation. Its why we have these is for proof. blurry image or Not we can still see who was at fualt or what occured during an accident. Thats all that matters with these cheap dash cams.
I have had this for almost two years now, still works fine. The image isn't that good, especially on nights. But you get what you pay for. Peace and love!
I have the sp156 kit the same mirror but the rear view camera is different I have a square one with small lights on it but what I don't know is there is a single red wire that comes from it with no connector on it would this be a trigger wire for when the car gets put into reverse or is it a illumination wire .
I have one of these but there is a lead without an end to it which I can't figure out what it's for We have the one for the camera, for the cigarette lighter and then a red wire that looks like it's been cut, is this a fault or is it an Earth or something?
Hello. I have installed this xamera on my car and it worked fine for some time but now it is operating very slowly, basically lagging be it in selecting the menu options or the camera it self. Any idea why this could happen and how to fix it?
Image quality not bad for that price. Watch on computer not on dashcam (processor not able). Can't automatically erase files. Select a max of 3 mins recording. And format when prompted by an "sd card plenty" message. For rear camera use better another plate cam. If you can connect to permanent 12v better. So you can switch off dash but stills recording both cameras. About movement detection it needs a good adjustement on inner parts. A good reviewed firmware would be a must. Cheap dash cam usable with a minimum of knowkedge.

I have the same device and it was shuting down by itself, even changed to a new battery and still get the same... could there be a firmware update necessary?
I have this exact camera. Unfortunately the rear camera doesn't record. Even though I select dual camera in the menu. Other than that, everything works. I really don't know why the rear doesn't record. It should when the front does.
Nice vid. Gotta do mine. Know what to do, but it's nice to be able to simply see some else doing it as visual guide. Taking off undertray always makes me put things off.
