A Group of New Zealanders with a passion for hunting and fishing and a love of New Zealand's awesome back country. Ian and Jason are our 2 resident bow hunters Tony hunts with a rifle and Jesica is our keen pig hunter. Between the 4 of us we cover a wide variety of hunting and fishing in NZ and overseas.. We have something to interest everybody. Come along with us in pursuit of roaring stags high in the valleys, join the excitement of bailing boars and bringing home the bacon, and of course a spot of fishing when its too hot in the bush for much else. please do us a favour and subscribe to our channel and you will see all our new uploads Thank you
A hunt you will never forget taking two stags in literally minutes. The blood trails were amazing. Plus the penetration and pass thru hits! Tell us about the arrows weight and the broadheads used. Congratulations! When I was years younger I would bow hunt the mountains of New Mexico which was quite the challenge like those mountains you’re in there. 👍👍
Awesome hunts. Congratulations to these hunters. Love bow hunting. I’m continually amazed at how those animals there become so psyched out during the rut. It’s like they are in another world? That type of condition doesn’t happen to the whitetail deer here. The odds of pulling off shots that close with those deer are nearly impossible here. They stay more aware it seems of their surroundings. Mule deer will act like rut crazed as well as some elk, but generally not whitetail. And with no camo on your face and hands too. It’s nuts. I’ve taken many deer in the last 50+years from the ground but learned long ago how much better it works if I’m totally camouflaged. It’s just amazing the difference in tactics to me. 👍👍
Yer we shoot over in the states a bit too. And mule deer we haven't hunted in the rit but ground stalking have shot them at very close range.. and bull elk have shot under 10 mtrs as well.. haven't had a chance to chase rutting whitetail yet.. normally for our hunting we are full camo and face paint.
Yer mate had a good month shot 8 or 9 with the bow for April which was good.. yer I thought whirinali would be crowded with the issues in te ureweras and a heap of huts being burned.. we only ended up in whirnaki for a day or 2
Wicked penetration! I hit a stag front on like that but went through the gap in the sternum and exited the last rib. He ran for 5 seconds then I heard him crash.
Nice stag bro no offence hope it was a typo te urewera is spelt like this not like this urawera unless you were hunting in another catchment then ignore this comment chur
Yup love a frontal but only under 20 mtrs for me generally... yer those broadheads have gone really well for us definitely rate them highly.. cheers for the comment
