pound for pound I still think Escobar is a good wrestler. I enjoy this channel but one of the down sides of sand matches is so many outcomes are simply pushing people in the sand to the sidelines....vs. real wrestling matches....they actually wrestled after two side line points awarded...
I understand your point of view. Beach wrestling is a bit odd and seems a bit like a combination of sumo and greco to me. The fact that you can't touch anything to the sand other than a hand or foot (except one knee in a successful scoring attempt) leads to almost exclusively upper body and push outs.
I'm not sure what happened with YT algorithms but for several months I have not seen any of your videos popping up on my channel. I scrolled through my subscription list and checked out your channel. I'm still subscribed; I don't know what they are doing.
In reference to your other video of Michael from Grant HS, the mix-matched shoestring color is awesome. The match was tops, too. And your video quality and professional product is outstanding.
I appreciate Michael's choice in shoe string color. Mixing green and red (or is that orange?) is nice. I did that with my Chuckie's back in the 90s and early 2000s.
There seemed to be some confusion regarding the restart position. I think he lost track of the positioning during blood time and tried to set them incorrectly on the restart.
I had thought for sure If anyone could "tame" Ban it would have been Nate. Ben is just a dynamo and can perceive any chance to get in for an advantage....thanks for sharing this match... I wonder how much difference a non-sand match would be for these guys.
