A good amount of the vt audience are straight pervs in it for the pseudo anime girl. There is a decent number of legit "normal" watchers, but there is a reason why attractive anime models are being used compared to the massive amount of "no cam, mic only if that" streamers that were already successful before. It doesn't help that "influencers" have gone mainstream, so the larger mainstream population have long started to move into the sphere originally grown by "internet culture". Remember those kids back in school that "liked" manga a little too much, and did stuff like wear the naruto headbands around while doing Japanese style mannerisms? A decent number of those kids haven't changed and now watch vtubers. Then again, one look at projekt melody and you understand that vtubers know what they are doing....
I feel like people are forgetting sykkuuno is a guy. Both genders are genetically built different and he's a grown man now he can surely lift that much weight even if he doesn't go to the gym.
