Love the idea of Luggage Letter but sorry it was so stressful going to CUN airport. I thought they were gonna give my Mom a heart attack. It is a hard airport but maybe the coordinator could have had some options for all your stuff???
Hi! I have watched your videos like 10 times already at this point and we are not getting married until Dec 2025! Your videos have been so super helpful and such an inspiration to helping us choose where to have our wedding (we are UK based) so we’re going to choose a Dreams resort in Punta Cana - it’s just that little bit closer. Can I ask, from when you booked with Dreams, what was the experience like? ie. When did they send the spreadsheet? How quickly were they to respond to emails? How flexible were they with change? I appreciate this video is already super informative but good to get a detailed perspective on service I suppose. Xx
Hi! Haha I’m glad I could help! I’ve heard many brides tell me they were booking dreams Punts Cana! I first had a meeting with my travel agent, told her where I wanted to book. Within I would say about a week dreams responded and my original date wasn’t available. We then chose a different date. Within a week they sent the contract and the deposit information. I made the payment and signed and I heard back from them within 5 days. At that point they sent over the budget planner and catalogs. I didn’t hear from dreams until 3 months before the wedding when I spoke with my wedding coordinator. She was amazing, we had a phone call and emailed back and forth. She was very quick to respond. I didn’t have many changes but we finalized everything 2 days before the wedding when we were there. I couldn’t have asked for anything better

I paid for things slowly, I bought a few things a month and broke down the cost of the trip monthly and made monthly payments. I had a separate bank account I would transfer money to every month

I had a letter in each of our bags explaining that we were getting married. It was both in Spanish and English. I didn’t have to pay anything, they let us go
Were there any challenges bringing the welcome bag gifts? We are concerned with the restrictions at the airport. Had a terrible experience last year and had to pay a lot in taxes to get into the country for a wedding. How did you bring all that stuff? Also did you use outside vendors?
I didn’t have too much in our bags for welcome gifts, I tried to give out as much as possible. I had letters in each of our bags in both English and Spanish explaining we were getting married and where. They let us go. Yes I used an outside vendor for hair & makeup, photo & video
As for Mineral Sunscreen, it really depends on brand, not all turn you white, Think brand doesn't for example, there is a Hawaiian Tropic kind as well that doesn't. Thank you so much for sharing this
I used the budget planner the resort provided and then the wedding planner the resort gives you 3 months before your wedding. No unexpected costs, the budget planner was very helpful

I love your video, can you please tell me why did you get the rubber rings? Was it for safety? Or just so you didn't lose your actual ring? Just curious because we are thinking of doing a destination wedding but we are really new to traveling outside the states so I appreciate your response and video, thank you.
I was nervous about losing them at the pool or beach or excursions. As soon as we would get back to the room I would put my rings back on for dinner :)

We had a choice for them to serve but I preferred the menu for buffet and it was faster. I already felt like the reception goes by so quick, I didn’t want to take more time for dinner

Meaning was the take a shot find your seat an extra cost or was them setting it up an extra cost? I did pay extra for the take a shot find your seat but I didn’t pay extra for the setup of it
Our save the dates looked like a plane ticket. I just had the resort name, date, and wedding website on it. I also included a “luggage tag” that had a QR code to go directly to my travel agents booking site
I enjoyed your videos they were very helpful. I loved your "Take a Shot & find your Seat". Did the resort set it up for you. Where did you purchase the name cards and how were they attached to the shot glass?
Thank you! I brought the sign and the name cards. But they set it up for me. I made the name cards with my cricut. I made them with thick card stock and then my cricut cut a slit in them to be placed on the side of the shot glass
