@@misheruzinho Well, technically yes, but it's just a small channel so I doubt Square would care much about me haha And it's just a small UI mod which is barely noticeable so I guess I'll take the risk ^^ Besides, I see lots of "big" XIV streamers use DPS meters on their live stream and it doesn't seem to get them banned...
Again, just like the previous dungeon (and the next one), this one took forever and I don't see any reason to recommend anyone to solo it... But hey, it is in fact doable.
This one took forever and is absolutely not worth the trouble. I've still done it just for the sake of saying "yes, it is feasable" and I've hesitated to speed up some parts of the video to make it shorter, but considering how all the other ones were "raw" footage, I've decided to let it as is. There's barely any dungeons left to do anyways.
From this point on, 710 item level seems really too low to be able to do it comfortably on a DPS job. You still can manage it, but you'd have to play slow, wait for your cooldowns before almost every pull and it would take even longer than doing it on a tank.
As I said on the previous vid, I've done this one on PLD first and wanted to see if I can solo it on a DPS. I didn't manage to make it on Viper without taking too long or dying on the last boss, but Reaper seems to be a bit better at survival, it would seem. So here it is, and if you want to see the run I did on my Paladin, you can find it here : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JdxLCRtkBN4.html
So I've done this one with my PLD first, but I wanted to see if a DPS could solo one of the last Endwalker dungeons. So I've done a few attemps on my VPR (i710) but those always took more than 20 minutes because you either have to wait for all of your cooldowns to be available before pulling the last boss, or you'll lose time dying to him considering the damage you'll take from his tank buster and shared aoe attack. I ended up doing a run on my RPR (i710) and it seems like Reaper is a bit better at surviving (or maybe I'm not as bad on my reaper as I am on my viper xD). Anyways, here's the video of my PLD run but I'll be uploading the one I've done on my RPR a bit later.
@@silque_brigandess As I've already said more than once, I didn't start this series "for the challenge", but to show people that it's easily done indeed. Second, synced you wouldn't go far on anything other than a tank, and you'd only be able to do a few dungeons that are in the range of levels where tanks have their self-healing... and again, you'd probably be the first to tell me how "it's easy to do it on a tank".
@@korygraves6739 I must admit I had some fun learning the fight since I didn't really know any of the mechanics before going in, and you have to handle some of them differently since you go alone. And yeah, better gear will sure make it easier. With Arcadion savage gear, you won't have to worry much about the dps check and you'd have more room for error on defensive cooldowns since with the gear I had when I did this one, there was a few close calls haha
So, this one I've done a few attempts on a DPS job... but boy, oh boy! do they hurt... You either have to wait to get your health and some of your cooldowns back between each pack of mobs, or you can die miserably. Can probably be done with better gear but all my DPS only have 710 gear for now.
I've tried this one on a few different DPS jobs, and... well, it didn't went as good, to say the least. It should be feasable on any job, but you'd have to play super safe on a DPS which would take longer than simply using a tank, so here's the tank POV :) Strangely enough, I've had less trouble doing the next dungeon solo, on a DPS job...
I still have Material 4K UI even though it hasn't been updated to DT (a few missing icons : new materia/job/location icons on the teleport menu...). I just love how clean the hotbars look with it ^^
@@No0neat Probably because most people don't even bother thinking about doing XIV's content solo xD And I guess the way I've set this whole series title is a bit misguiding : people see the "can you solo" and feel like I'm bragging about myself being able to do it, while the whole point of these vids is to let people know that anybody can do these... But that's nice of you !
Hm sure. I could give it a try. But I've never done one so I'll have to think about a way of presenting it, might take a bit of time. Anything specific you might want to see/know about the setup ? Like the in-game controller settings, the way I set my spells for a given job or if there's any logic behind it ? haha
@@omarbravo7118 You just have to pay attention to the debuff you get when the moon phase starts. Which ever it is, you have to go on the opposite color as soon as the phase starts, as you'll have 4 stacks and the 5th one means you get doom and die. Basically, if you start with the white debuff, you stand on the darker part of the arena until you get 4 stacks, then you switch to the other one etc. But if you really struggle to see how it works, any guide video of this fight will explain it better that I do haha
@@omarbravo7118 No problem. It's the only real mechanic you have to do in this fight. And you need a solid dps to kill her before the doom debuff kills you since there will be a moment where you won't be able to get rid of it anymore.
@@etimun If you take enemy packs one by one and wait a bit to get your health and cooldowns back, it's nothing difficult really. Or you can play tank/healer. I just wanted to try to make through it the fastest I could, so that's why it looks a bit tricky sometimes ^^
I finally managed to get this one down. And to be honest, I could have done it earlier because the gear is not the real issue here, but this fight is a real pain. So once again : is this worth doing alone if you simply want the mount or some glam ? Absolutely NOT! Is it a fun challenge ? I wouldn't say so. Titan Savage (E4S) was a fun challenge : the whole fight is challenging and you have to play it to perfection to get the kill. This one ? ORBS !!! Yup, that pretty much sums the whole difficulty of this fight. If you can get the orbs right (and don't get screwed by a bad server tic), the rest of the fight is pretty much brain dead. I barely remembered/knew anything about the second part of the fight and still got it first try. But those orbs... took me about 50 tries before I even managed to get past them once. And with 715 gear level, I still needed 15% echo to get past the enrage of the first phase, so I had to get the orbs right 4 times to actually get past the first part of the fight. But maybe I'm just real bad at this whole thing haha Anyways, hope you'll enjoy the fight and thanks for watching ! :)
This fight SUCKS. It’s all a jolly cakewalk until they merge. Then it’s constant stuns into eruptions and absurd vuln stacks. I can get him down to lower health (20-10%) on my DRK (710), but holy crap… I just take too much damage and can’t keep enough health to survive. I may have to bench this fight until the next patch comes around and improved gear is available. I’m going to keep at it, but I have a feeling my DRK just isn’t up to it without a better self-heal. This is definitely the most brutal solo challenge I’ve done yet
Haven't tried this one on DRK but I can already imagine. Paladin is probably the most comfortable one to use here, since you can have the passive healing of Holy Sheltron going while you're stunned.
Petri stacks are only on savage mode, and this one is the normal one. Actually, O2S is the only one I didn't manage to solo. (but it was feasable during Endwalker with a very good timing on NIN teleports to avoid one of the stacks, and you can simply kill this boss before petri now with a really good DPS if you have savage gear)
So this one was probably the last video of Eden Savage solos, as I don't see any other one of them being feasable for now. Some might become possible a bit later when I get better gear, and others are probably gonna still be impossible because of the mechanics requiring 2 people. PS : I know Ruby & Emerald weapon can be done solo now, but I didn't manage to get those down yet so I might upload them later.
I'm not sure about THIS encounter, but I've also timed Salted Earth to free myself from the last boss in Holminster Switch when I was soloing that at level 90.
@@TenaciousJ2323 oh yeah, that one haha If I remember correctly, that one you can survive the "gaol" since we have enough HP now. Titan Savage, you technically can survive it too, but you won't be surviving the jump in the lava haha
Ok, so... this one was by far the most difficult solo I've done in the game (not counting Deep Dungeon haha). Lots of things that can one-shot you, a bit of RNG making it a quite frustrating experience because you'll have to restart the whole fight after 5+ minutes into the attempt simply because he decided to bonk you into the pits of hell with his Plate Fracture before you're set free. And a really tight enrage timer considering that some moments you'll just have to spam your 1-2-3 combo to get some healing before the next big hit, rather than trying to maximize your dps. That is if you don't fail any of the mechanics because they will all give you a damage-down debuff which will probably make it impossible to finish the fight before the enrage comes of. So is it easy ? No. Is it worth the time investment if you simply want the mount ? Absolutly not. Is it fun ? Depend on what you call fun :D If you like bashing your head against a wall with games like Dark Souls, the answer is yes haha Oh and a last thing : it took me a few days and probably 50+ attempts to get this one down. But you have to consider the fact that I've never really done this fight before, except for a few unsync runs to get the mount during Endwalker. The other fun thing is : E3S is an absolute joke of a fight next to this one, but it cannot be done solo because of one stupid mechanic that requires atleast 2 people... AGAIN.
So this one was recorded a few weeks after the release of 7.0. I barely had 702 item level and almost hit the enrage before the kill. If you do it now with something like 710+ ilvl, the fight should be pretty easy. I didn't upload E1S as I didn't manage to figure out a way to solo it for now. The first deadly mechanic being "Pure beam" giving you a magic vulnerability, so the only way to survive is to use a tank invuln., but the second deadly mechanic ("Altered Vice & Virtue" after the adds) comes too close to it so the invuln. is not ready to be used again.
@@branvallindorm2490 I'm at a point where I just avoid playing warrior unless it's the only way I can do a fight... And yeah, I've managed to get a few of the Eden savage fights done so I hope you'll enjoy them :)
To this topic, how do you decide what class you run and upload for your challenge series? Do you run it on multiple classes and upload the fastest attempt, or do you kinda just vibe check it and upload the run if the job you chose can clear?
@@SpyX9LP Well, first of all I'm still in the process of leveling all of my jobs to 100 (got all the tanks, 3 melee, 2 M-ranged, 2 P-ranged, 2 healers to 100 for now). Usually, I try it on a DPS first, and if I see that it can't be done that way, I switch to a tank. As to which job I choose precisely, it depends on the needs of the fight (for example, E4S can only be done on a DRK as far as I'm aware). Once all that considered, I usually upload the one where I got the fastest kill. But as I said before, I'll probably try to upload a POV for each job I can do the fights once I'm done with the leveling process. Because it's pretty easy to solo Omega savage on a tank job now, but some fights are still a bit tricky if you only have damage dealers.
@@claramiqo7691 I mean if it's just for the gear, I think you don't even really need to know the fight if you go in a full unsync party, the boss should melt in a few minutes XD
@@voxmortiferum Fair! I've just seen past videos and they seemed like if you fucked up even slightly, he'd wipe you and I was always so intimidated, haha.
@@claramiqo7691 Can't tell for sure for a full party, but I've done a few attempts solo, and the only real issue is the "transition" (Vivere Militare Est) where you need two people to click to block the pulses. I think this fight actually requires at least 3 people - 2 to block the pulses and one to destroy them before the gauge fills up.
I've done a few tries of this one on my Reaper (i710) but the damage seems a bit too high (especially after the "memories" transition phase) to be able to stay alive long enough to finish the fight, lots of stack marker aoes that are way to close to each other. That being said, with some good cooldown management and if you have this tier Savage gear, you can probably solo it on a melee DPS.
I know, I know. I did a loooot of mistakes on this fight. But to be honest, I didn't even remember what this boss looked like so I just went in, done the fight first shot and here it is. I think that just shows how easy it is now, so anyone can do it.
It's one of those things "we do not talk about" lol (mods). And this one is called Materail4K UI, if I remember correctly. That being said, it hasn't been updated for Dawntrail so I have some missing icons here and there (like the materia slots in my gear, or Viper and Picto job icons in the menus).
@@voxmortiferum ok, I had the feeling that this was a mod after clicking the menus for like an hour xd but thanks for the answer, i'll definitely check this one out for myself :)
@@mauricelepenat5907 Yeah, I saw that. That being said it's really just some minor things missing, so it doesn't bother me too much. Maybe some day I'll take the time to learn how to modify it myself to update the things that are missing.
For E8 (Shiva), I've done a few attemps on tank and DPS; always failing on the transition phase because of the Flood of Light gauge getting to 100 since there's no one on the other platform. But one thing I've seen is the transition is time based, and not HP percentage. So once we get better gear, we should be able to solo her. For now, the best I managed was to get her down to about 30% HP. As always : a bit too much damage for a DPS job, but a boring fight on a tank. But hey, it is what it is huh...
I did this one recently on gunbreaker and I have never sweated so hard on a fight in my life I didn't know any mechanics and just winged it cause why not
@@MrGoofyGooberson Haha it's not that hard when you know the fight, but it's still annoying as hell since you get stunned way too often, especially in the last part of the fight once they go full DBZ-fusion... The hardest solo I've done so far is yet to be uploaded on the channel, but it's definitely E4S (Titan Savage). Took me days to get him down...
I've done a few tries on my DRG (710) but the damage is a bit too much for the self-healing I can manage. It's probably feasable on a DPS but it's not gonna be an easy one.
