These are no longer "master classes", but ideological agendas and their propaganda, unnatural and wrong.

Curropt world. If you still want to be somebody in this world, then promote women ans cunductors. Be politically correct - as unnatural and destructive as it may be. This is an ideological agande, not a "master class". No orchestra should play under a woman conductor. In particular, no man should humiliate himself under a woman in this way. What is going on today is the programmatic feminization of everything, and that is an artificial, unnatural development!

Panulalla on luovan johtamisen kyky. Oikea ote. Oikeat osviitat orkesterin johtamiseen. Hän ohjaa antamalla oikeita vastauksia oikeissa kohdissa. Hänellä on paljon annettavaa johtajille, mitä johtaminen on ja mitä johtajan tulee oppia.

7:50 a genius conductor in the making here. Learning from one of the best. I see Klaus has put into his heart what his teacher taught him. STUDY THE SCORE.

You'll meet Klaus Mäkelä (16) many times here (starting 0:49). He is new Chief Conductor of the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra and music director of the Orchester de Paris at the start of the 2022-23. Edit: It's Santtu-Matias Rouvali (16:02) who's conducting here I think!!

This is not Rouvali conducting at 16.02min. Santtu Rouvali already was making a career for himself around 2012....

depends what kind of music it is i think, if it's light and short, then it's necessary to use more wrist, but in the end, it's important that hands would be free from the shoulder and flexible. I personally liked Mäkela's technic, many other students have tension in their shoulders, one had tension even in her wrist, many use more of their bodies and they don't use the potential of their arms, also some students' beating technique is a big mess (the directions are not clear)

You spotted a winner given what Klaus has accomplished since he began conducting orchestras, first in Scandinavia and then around the world. Who would have believed when this video first appeared that we were watching the future conductor of the Concertgebouw and Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Even his comments portend what we would see on the podium of these great orchestra. A blessing.

Many conductors use a lot of unnecessry movement .. You get the clearest beat by conducting from the wrist without flailing your arms around . The left hand should not mirror the right and be used for things like cues etc instead .
