Johnson, The gear box is a standard Hewland MK9 four speed. Nothing special. Actually I do lift during my shifts, but only slightly. I pull my foot off the throttle just a little, then back on it. While I'm doing that is when I shift as quickly as I can. It only takes a couple tents of a second for a shift. I do not use the clutch for up shifts or down shifts.
