i've watched around 60 "dry stone walling" posts on YT, and yours has been the in the top 5 of "most helpful". the camera angles are perfect, as i can get an accurate sensation of what i'll be dealing with, when i attempt my first wall. thanks so much!
Sorry mate. Just not a fan of the janky compound camera angles. Just have to watch these on my phone and angle it so the picture is straight. Still good content 👍🏼
Hola, soy nuevo en el canal, decir que me gusta mucho tu trabajo. Haré una pregunta, que quizás te la hallan formulado muchas veces. Que tipo de piedra es la que utilizas?
Jig-saw puzzles seem a lot easier! But nowhere near as satisfying, some of those stones look a tad heavy to me. Will make a nice backdrop to the oil tank? What an eyesore! Good job guys.
Mate beautiful job and excellent explanation, I have a question: What kind of lime are you working with? and after end the walls: What kind of slab floor you would do? Keep posting updates on the subject is very interesting.
This one was a 3/1 nhl. The slabs were the original “blue lias” limestone slabs. About 3 inches thick. Laid on the same lime mortar. Thank you for watching!
Another beautiful, hand-crafted addition to our countryside heritage. Josh, you and Cam-Cam have got to be pleased and very proud of that build, it looks amazing. Worth at least a few cold, frothy ones? Keep safe you two and thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much for sharing your work with us, it is absolutely beautiful, we find it so relaxing watching you work, you make it look so easy but knowing you are a master at your craft you would do 👏🫡👍
I am so impressed with the high level of attention and care you place on finding the right stone. You are truly a craftsman. I cannot think there’s another structure being built in GB right now that will still be standing 2-3-400 years from now other than your walls and structures. Your standards are only surpassed by your humility. Keep it up sir.
Astonishingly good job fellas! When you finished the 'Cock and Hen' part Josh, you said "Job's a good 'un". Totally agree with that comment! Seemed to have got a lot done today, must be good having Cam-Cam back with you to help. Good video mate, keep safe you two.
That's a cracking day's work mate. When guys like me look at a wall and say to ourself 'someone built that', that's the recognition of a quality job. And when you pick up a stone and know where it belongs just amazes me Josh - but that's your skill I guess? Great job mate.
Looks great. So satisfying to see a random pile of stone get stacked up to look like they are in the perfect spot. How do you keep from twisting your ankle? I guess being young helps. Take care.
Incredible achievements on this episode guys! Wide-angle video shots give better idea of just how big this has become over the past three weeks - does that look amazing or what! Customers have got to be delighted with that great-looking wall. The 'cock and hen' (have I got that terminology right Josh?) just finish off that 'forever rustic charm'. That's at least a two-pinter fellas! Keep safe.
What a great-looking monument to the art and skill of stonemasons and wall builders! Josh, you and Cam-Cam have worked your usual miracle - if I may just remind you not to forget the 'Before and After' video clips? Not that you had forgotten had you!
