You never cleaned the internal gears and bearing then lube then on the body of the reel. You call yourself the Angler Authority yet failed to do a complete disassembly and maintenance of all moving parts.
Being honest, I have to say that although Rapala creates lures with incredibly effective actions, it does not meet the good quality of its products in terms of their resistance. I have bought many lures from the brand and many times a simple hit to a rock causes the balls to come out of the rattle or the lure breaks. I really think the brand should know about this and fix these problems, because it's going to start getting a bad reputation...
I realize this is an old video but wanted to comment.lol This is when I stopped being a Shimano fan. No anti reverse is nothing more than shimano cutting cost. Also the drag washers are felt material 😂 This reels performance was poor in my experience, nothing like the old Stratic reels of yrs past. The bail broke in just the first season and was a nightmare to repair, many plastic parts a real disappointment.
I love these reels.I still have 4 of them and they still work as good as they did out of the box. Take care of them and they will last . Excellent tutorial my friend ..Thanks
For the TSA to know how to put back together at the intended length, you need to cover all holes with silver duck tape except the one where the peg needs to go in. Or for a more permanent set length just rivet a stopper on the inside of the outer shell.
Nice until it rains. You covered the drain plug and what I could see you never installed a drain & hose. Thus water will be running under your front deck, mold, mildew etc. I put a 3/4" PEX plug in the hole, drilled the plug out leaving a shoulder. Connect the pex plug to the pan, then connect vinyl tubing to drain the pan correctly. Use silicone to sill the plug to the pan. Its water tight. Just my 2 cents but it works well. Nice carpet job though.
Great job. I may carpet mine. I like to fish barefooted and even though carpet can get pretty hot sometimes. It's better than being branded by hot black metal !
What rod were you using to flip and pitch? Do you think I could use the 7’4 heavy version on deep diving crank baits, large swimbaits, and big flutter spoons?
Would love this rod with a solid cork butt, looks more like a casting rod with the sensitive blank exposed for bite detection. Not sure why they would call it a bounce and troll.
This is one of the best instructional videos I've ever watched. I also have this reel and I definitely learned I was not cleaning my reel exactly right. Thanks for the video.
