Its no different from a battle reenactment or cosplay, if they're not harming anyone else and it's their way of enjoying themselves then live and let live 👍👊
Oi ! Oi! Brings back memories. I was struttin with my clan in the late 60's at 14yrs old. BS shirt, red braces, bleachers rolled up, and of course my cherry red Docs. Got angry anytime the big boys 'polished' my head. I'm 70 now and still miss those times Keep it going boys. Rocksteady !!
@@JohnnyWeissmuller-iw4pl Dont criticise what you can't understand your sons and daughters are beyond your command. Bob Dylan Was never my thing but recognise British music youth culture does matter. Mods, rockers, punk, new wave, ska, etc still matters too those who were really into it.
the skins that called the west end their territory in the late 70s early eighties were a firm called 'west end central'.bones, wiggy and the rest of that bunch of cowardly bullies.they smashed up the hank wangford band and the redskins during their performances at free concert on the southbank.if any of you read this and wonder who i am.i'm the punk that walked in to the skinhead jamboree at the hope hotel on the southend seafront that day in '82 on my own.
here in america especially in stupid north carolina, they don't know anything about punks and skins, they think hip hoppers are skinheads and metalheads hip hoppers, square nuts here, and punks, they don't know where punks are from, if ya got confused that's how they think here,.....square state to tell ya the truth...........marius(punk rules).
I got to be good friends with Dave, abs solid chap last time I saw him was when he wandered into my neck of south London on his extended forks Vespa PX and we had a right proper catch up, I'd not long been out the nick and had started going to scooter rallies meself. Still a DM's and flighty sort o' chap, Carnaby St lot would have remembered me as "Wink" in between my daring escapes from clink and straight up to Carnaby I would go. Then channel 4 released a documentary about me in 84 and destroyed any street cred I had pretty much, some might remember C4 up in the flea market and down the street.
Fuck me! that Dave got around used to see him everywhere from Putney to carnaby street and everywhere in between, knew loads of mates that knew him too.greek I think he was then I heard he turned 'casual'and hung around with a load of them.
Me too me too me Kelly & Siobhan used to hang round with Dave & Spider John at the Dublin Castle Camden me my bf at the time Aidan (Sterling) we’re good friends with Dave we had great times
Skinheads were from the early 70's, reggae was the music, suedeheads came after, much smarter, loved the fashion then, followed by hideous oxford bags, big collars and northern soul.
Really enjoyed that video Jay. I was at the event and was pleasantly surprised how good the day/evening was. Harry Cambridge was an excellent tribute of the mighty Luther. Phil Fearon was great fun. Great footage fella.
