Is it just me or is this scene just to show how pretentious and arrogant Meadow is? She pulled that shit out from her ass (and probably got an A+ for it, too)
This seems similar to Tony’s dream about being his grandfather and seeing Livia’s silhouette on the staircase. Reason being, he’s right across from a staircase here and we can’t really see what he was looking at. I also find it odd he would say “Grandma?” despite just hearing Livia passed away. It could just be him being a kid/teen though.
Who says God doesn’t work through others to put the sword in your field? Just because it didn’t come down directly from heaven doesn’t mean it wasn’t from God. God is NOT limited
There is no one way to write, I have 5 published novels. In my case, about 90% of my work happens in my head first, and then when it comes to writing it down, it's sort of like just taking dictation.... Everyone is different. What works for one person won't work for another... Just sayin'...
Dustin is Satan. Who used his under Christ intelligence to defeat every single sign and reduce it to logic. Cause, it's true, how logical is for a man to split the sea. Remember, Lucifer was an extraordinary angel in might and beauty, but ordinary in the presence of Christ and our Father, Hashem.
That's in fact Scott's picture and he WAS paid and given credit. Scott had been recording on a lot of other musicians' albums at that time. The same producer offered to pay to make a second album for me, featuring Scott and I regret not taking him up on it, all these years later.
This scene really helped me develop some critical thinking. When I was a teenager, I was reading a bunch of garbage content: conspiracies, aliens, shamans to the point where I didn't really know what to belive anymore. And I had very weird states of mind just like Joan describes with the ringing clouds and spooky wind, reality just seemed creepy sometimes. I kept wondering what my weird states mean: am I haunted? am I insane? am I possesed? And not knowing only makes it worse untill you spiral into a panic atac. Now, whenever I start feeling weird, I just remember this scene and be like: it's just my brain dooing some bizzare gymnastics, it doesn't mean anything, it's going to go away soon. After 5 minutes, I'm fine.
ive dealt with that feeling a lot myself and while it can be overwhelming it can also be harnessed. causality is crazy thing, i never saw this movie, i found and your comment because i was watching a video about the mechanics of the movie tenent that features a version of this clip from this movie and so i googled the words "there are many ways a sword might find itself in a field" because i wanted to know where it was from, and i followed the links and then i saw your comment and recognized that feeling that you are describing in myself all too well. the difference is, i choose to not believe the universe is a place of fear and cold violence and hatred as those conspiracies and those who peddle them want you to believe. no, i choose to believe the world is made of love not from fear, because even though fear can come from love, love cannot come from fear. no matter how much fear, and hatred and violence and unfairness exist in the universe it must all ultimate come from a place of love and not fear. if the universe truly was a cold and terrible place born of fear and suffering, then it would simply never have existed in the first place. love creates, fear only destroys all it touches until it destroys itself. fear only exists because it came from a place of love. now this all seems like spiritual woo woo of course and philosophical nonsense, and maybe it is. but belief and the placebo effect is a powerful force, it can make a sword in a field come from heaven and it perhaps can bring two like minded individuals together from across time and space to share a similar feeling 😉
This is embarrassing to see as a writer.. He can't come up with a single line? In six months? "The night was hot. Marcus searched tirelessly through every corner of the city, for the love of his life. the woman that gave him an incentive to breathe, the single person that ignited the fire in his heart, a love so strong that no heat nor distance was enough to stop him." ^^ There, Billy Crystal, was that so hard to do? lol
