The world is facing major challenges in fields like energy, health and mobility. New technological concepts are needed to deal with these challenges. Industry, knowledge institutions and government are working together in close cooperation to enable these concepts to be realized. Eindhoven University of Technology plays a prominant rol in this ecosystem.
But you should mention that all academic jobs are only open to women for ages. Only if you cant find a woman to do the job anywhere in the world, do you open it to men. Discrimination works, but its just a scam and a con trick. You are not picking the best person if men are ignored for SIX MONTHS.
It’s not practical to just switch from oil that has been around for over 100 years. Everyone seems to have this “either or concept” and that’s just not practical thinking . You can have oil and you can have oil from algae, or lignin, or other sources. You just have to balance the ecological CO2 equation so that everything is equal (the environment goes back in balance) There is no set rule that states that you have to compete against something or another. People seem to have forgotten what it is to work collaboratively and collectively in groups when they had Big Projects in kindergarten:-/
If the boomers need more emplyes they simply had to make more kids. Now we elected a right wing govt which will stop the mass incoms of foreigners. Bye bye TU/E
those women should go make sandwiches and let the men work with the hot iron/hydrogen brew, wait a second...on second thought, I'm good with this arrangement.
C02 is .04 of the atmosphere. Humans produce .3% of that .04% which is .0012%. And C02 is at its lowest point in history. Any lower and plants will die. Without plants we all die.
Would be getting my first degree as a Mechanical Engineer in about a year and I'd really love to do a Masters in Industrial Design at Eindhoven University of Technology within the next 5yrs. Please make more videos about people studying ID over there at the moment ❤
For the love of god, i dont understand the logic of not being on time. How egotistical can you be? You being late 30 mins (in a group of 5) means 4 other people are now missing 30 mins in their schedule. You just burnt 2 hours of other peoples time. Weird thing is that it is a social thing in some countries. How can these countries achieve anything? I am Dutch btw (if that wasnt clear).
I would like to start off by saying that different doesn’t mean bad. Just because people follow different standards doesn’t mean they are inferior in any way. Regarding punctuality, the reason some cultures are not as time sensitive as the Dutch is not because these cultures disregard the importance of being on time but rather because being on time was never given much importance in the first place. So, if you have a colleague from a different country, instead of criticising them because “he/she doesn’t do what he must do”, explain to them why being on time is important to you and for work.
@@greekin2space387 I never said bad. I just don't understand the actual logistics. If i don't come to work on time, and so would my colleagues, my boss would have a problem. How does that work in cultures where they "disregard the importance of being on time"? "why being on time is important to you" So you just sit and wait patiently on others?! Or basically everyone is always late, but still someone will always be sooner there than the other, wasting time. === instead of criticising them because “he/she doesn’t do what he must do”, explain to them why being on time is important to you and for work. === I think i would turn it around. Say we meet at 15:00 to the person coming late, and 16:00 to the rest. Then tell him and ask him how he feels about it.
@@MrTomaat23 You’re missing my point and you also didn’t understand what I’m saying. Just consider different perspectives do exist in different places, even for the stuff you consider to be set in stone.
Hey! Where could i see the statistics of the amount of people who applied, and the amount of people who actually were accepted? I understand the number of people is quite high, but if the amount of applicants where more than a thousand, i'd like to know, since that could affect my chances of getting accepted, if the chances are for me too low, it might affect my decisionmaking.
@@TeaRexdon't come here complaining while already knowing the issue is there. Yall student immigrants move here knowing there's a shortage and then complain
@@henk672 What an ignorant response, you don't think dutch students are hurt by this either? On top of that TU/e actively encourages international students to apply. There is a housing issue, that's a fact, and yes it should be complained about because its bad for everyone (except landlords i suppose).
@@henk672 On another tack from my previous comment, you once again are saying nonsense. People shouldn't complain because there is an issue? That's the one time when people are suppose to complain you bozo
The video is good. The sound is frankly appalling - it's supposed to be about the sound of the hummingbird, and what do we hear? Crappy, patronising, childish music throughout, and an equally patronising voiceover that wasn't even needed. They talk about the pleasing sound of the wing flaps, the root frequency and harmonics, so let's hear it you idiots! What a load of birdcrap!
