I also work as a missionary priest in Alaska, Diocese of Juneau, every summer. I have been serving at St. Therese Catholic Church in Skagway, AK for the past 13 summers.

Father Dave, when I was young, we were not allowed to touch or chew the host. It could not touch our teeth. It was rough cause it stuck to roof of our mouth and working it loose with our tongue was near impossible. Sure glad the rules changed. Thank you for Mass. Enjoy your “vacation”. God bless. It seems the jewish people of the old testament were kind of pathetic, always asking for stuff, demanding stuff or else, having little faith in anything. They didnt seem to deserve the title chosen people.
Thank you ever so for being here to help me regroup n relax n try to do the tasks Lord God has given me in my daily life without complaining, with gratefulness that I am STILL able to do them at 67 yrs old!! I am a General Anxiety Disorder person n I am STILL trying to learn to give it to GOD n do my work with a loving heart, cuz that part of daily life has become frustrating n difficult for me to accomplish!!! I am trying to learn humility, purity, courage n patience at my old age n I pray every day for help with those things that are sadly missing in my personality!!! Love your jokes n seeing Craggly, n it was a wonderful homily hearkening me back to the special times when growing up n having a simple thing like a family meal with my brother n sisters n parents and how just that practice has given me a sound n meaningful foundation throughout my life!!! My brother KEITH (Irish twin, 360 days younger than I) is 53 years old, baptized but never received other sacraments due to alleged "intellectual disabilities." His spirit is moved by all your music and homilies. God bless you and let's PRAY that KEITH receives Holy Eucharist and is CONFIRMED in the one holy CATHOLIC and apostolic faith ASAP.

Just finished joining in on my favorite Priest. I thank God I have a friend in the Holy Trinity. I was relying on the bread from earth. For no reason I was left out of my granddaughter's bday today but she and I have shared a bday meal on another day and that was not about the food. That day was blessed. ❤🙏Thank you for sharing about your family. Take a little free time and sit at the waterway at saint theresa and watch all of the wildlife (especially the humpback whales. . I spent hours there, a great place to meditate. I know the people of Juneau will be pleased for the Masses you can do. Safe travels!
