What an incredible team. I was born in '86 and i always heard how good this team was now i know for sure just how good they we're. They beat a young hakeem and Samson not easy to do.

I kind of already know the answer, but why is it that the Boston Celtics, never, ever, EVER, get to play at home on Christmas Day, but the Los Angeles Lakers get to play EVERY Christmas Day at home?

I love this more for the music, but gotta laugh at how in the 1986 Red Sox intro they left Roger Clemens out entirely.

I went to an old timers game in 1982 that Ted played in...I was 13 years old...and don't recall what he did at the plate...but I DO remember him making a nice running catch in left field. I also believe Bob Montgomery hit a HR into the left field screen as well.

I have been a Boston Celtic fan since the days of Bob Cousy and Bill Russell ..Bill Russell I have seen play when he attended Univ.San Francisco. UCLA basketball team a power team in the college ranks. When San Franciso came playing the Southern college teams.UCLA, Never seen Larry Bird play in person when he played college games. Highlights on TV yes,, I even hoped the Celtics would draft him. Wish come true.

I had the honor of being at the Gahdin for several games that year and for a few years later. Watching these guys was like watching Gods at play. A true honor.

Anyone who doesn't know who Jesse is referring to at the beginning of the show; Sonny Barger he passed away in 2022 but was a very interesting man. I suggest looking him up. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sonny_Barger

Hard to believe this was 31 years ago today. I remember being a little kid (born & raised in Indiana) watching this as it aired on TV with my dad. It was this very broadcast that made me a Larry Bird fan. Reggie Miller will always be my favorite player, Larry Bird is a VERY close 2nd.
