Chevy never made a hemi. This engine is a copy of a Ford Kaase head. The IHRA told J Kaase if he did not show Sonny L his hemi heads they would factor anyone running his engines. So, in reality that Chevy has a Ford design under the hood. LMAO
Why do track operators allow all the spectators on the starting line? Kind of dangerous & in the way for me to see cars. A man was killed last summer from a starting line incident when his nephew was backing up & throttle stuck wide open. Ran him over.
It's hard to see but there's security that gates/blocks off the fans to hehind the water box. The sides are gated off too. But a lot of grudge events do it because people "want in on the action". For me it can get annoying and I don't see the purpose at some times. But it looks cool in a photo or video
I cant stop watching this. I want to see an overhead down track of this... Wanna know if he was still in the race and that's why he was still trying to floor it...
It makes it exciting for the fans. Lots of burn downs in the pdra and nhra. The ultimate classic was in top fuel between Clay and Doug years ago. The Larry Morgan and Allen Johnson at Colorado was epic also.

NHRA dropped the ball IMO Pro Stock was supposed to be an open class that used factory parts I thought, now it's big brother says no! like everything else. xx block xx head mechanical injection/ injector size limit nitrous / 1 shot of xx pounds? idk all that much about nitrous Cubic inch limit and let the engine builders have a ball with the rest. Just my opinion but it could be an interesting class like that I think.
@@NubsWithGunsProstock never was about factory parts. Just 3 years after it started, racers started using tube frame chassis cars and using engines never found in the car. Prostock for most of its life is really just gasser funny cars.
Did y’all see da guy wit the white Camaro his crew wanted to rush him to the line to get the free win vs that bad ass Corvette. But he said naw ima bust his ass head up…. That was pretty kool….
