That’s a great question. So the powder coating is too thick for the Corvette etching. If that is what you want to do, you will want to have the wheels painted instead.
Yeah, I personally wanted the tridents, but the dealership never called to let me know my order was accepted. The cost for the powder coating was $200 per wheel, and an extra $40 per wheel to remove the tires, reinstalled them, and balance the wheels; it was $985 out the door. The black wheel option for $995 is carbon flash with a machined lip. I personally don’t care for the machines lip.
I agree. plus the stock wheels are painted and not powder coated. I am getting a 4runner that comes with silver wheels and wanted to get an idea on cost to powder coat them black. I have a 21 C8 with the carbon flash painted wheels but looking back should have gotten stock wheels like you did and get powder coated to whatever color I want. Your car looks great.
@@samh5112 you are doing good work. Don't worry about those people. I was going to mention putting a towel on you caliper so you don't scratch the barrels of your wheels. Adding the fluid like that was excellent.
