I feel with being in the back doing the opposite of what everyone else does could work. Like if they don’t pit for fuel being in the rear get a few extra laps of fuel to try something different 🤷♂️ As of 11:30 my time I haven’t finished this. I’ll re edit this after 🤘🤘
Best is to have them both alternating, because after a short amount of time I would be bored with either one of those kinds of tracks without the other kind. Unpopular opinion: For example racing only the Nordschleife, as iconic as it is, would bore me like crazy. I need a kind of Winton too. 🙂
@@ChrisMidmark I used the shared setup from Justin, which didn't really suit my style. But me having the 15 min before qualifying as the only practice is probably a bigger concern 🤭😄
@@midfieldracing219 I have used justins sets all season before this race. But at this track I felt better with Nick Robinsons…. Yeah practise is key.. I do alot of qualifying practise, since all drivers is very quick :) maybe 75-100 laps before the event every week.
These tracks are a lot of fun. I call them switch back kind of tracks, being smooth is way faster then full attack speed. And with the gap you had in the video was good. Let second use his stuff up trying to get to you. If need be you’ll have tires left and can go harder if needed 🤷♂️

Gear stack was standard and the BB was 56%, then turned it to 55% after a while. RSB is on whatever Ed Buchanan has , got it from his video on Winton 👍
@@midfieldracing219 i have tried several setups. best so far is Ed’ suspension setting, but with 10 on the rear bar and 54 brake, standard stack. 1.243 so far
The 3 didn’t do Anything wrong by holding you off. At the same time if the leader is pulling away and the guy behind you is clearly faster maybe let him go and see if he can pull both you back to the leader 🤷♂️. You did great just my opinion on the 3

I was thinking of running some of this next season.... that was one of the worst races I've ever seen and doesn't look fun at all. Those cars should provide great racing, you did really well though.
Yes the BBM races can be a real mess sometimes. You never know if a race will be great or the opposite. Maybe open is better than fixed, don't know, but I don't care for the heat racing in the open series. Really love to race this fun car, but you have to be aware that there will be races like this for sure 🤷♂. Tried to make the best out of it
So sehr mir Crandon gefällt, so verloren fühlt sich Bark River an. Wird vielleicht ja noch. Und leider gibt es ja bei den Pro Trucks nur diese drei Strecken (plus Crandon Short) momentan.
So ein Rennen hat man doch mal gerne , wie oft war mal selber im Wreck ;-) . GW . Summit Point auch eine von meinen besseren Tracks , davon gibt es sonst nicht viele hahaha
Echt schwierige Strecke, auch im TCR braucht man da ein bißchen Gewöhnung. Glaube hier bin ich zum ersten und letzten Mal 2011/2012 in einem Gumpert Apollo unterwegs gewesen , haha
Und es macht tatsächlich nen Unterschied ob man auf Pole oder von zB. P5 startet, obwohl alle in der gleichen Reihe stehen....hätte ich nie gedacht, aber im nächsten Crandon-Rennen sieht man was ich meine ;)

Thanks for watching and for asking! I'm using Fanatec Clubsport, wheelbase is a V2.5 and the pedals are V3, also the H-Shifter and the handbrake. Bought it all used a couple of years ago, so it was a pretty good deal imo. Also using some old triple 27" iiyama monitors and a Raceroom Gameseat. Rig wasn't changed in years, only a button box was added. Maybe I should write down the setup in the channel/video infos, hm.
Watching your videos for a while now especially the 1600 ones. Started the iRacing journey myself two months ago, doing pretty well and climbing the ranks. Love the 1600 series they are really fun, hope to come across you sometime soon and race! Met Sam couple times he's a beast. Really enjoying the content m8 keep it up, greetings from the Netherlands.

To answer your question about if there is a time zone for big fields, 12 p.m. EST -> 8 p.m. EST there are decent size fields with good drivers (can be small because of the tracks and stuff as well).
You have to be able to endure the 50th attempt with a certain amount of patience...after you got yourself an 0x three minutes into a nice run 🥴. But it's still a fun challenge and something different.
Looks like we had the same idea. I finally got to the top, checked the scoreboard and saw you on it! Similar amount of attempts, took me just under 50 to get a lap in, just pushing a little too much. Theres a downhill one too, although I feel like that would be harder for me.
I forgot to record the first time I beat Travis' run and had to do it all again, you can imagine how thrilled I was, ha. That's why this attempt was a bit sloppy after the dirt section. Just wanted to get this over with 😅
He really wanted that 2nd place 😁. I lost too much time in the laps before, that made the move possible in the first place. Don't think it was necessary, but could have been worse 🤷♂
