Huge fan of creature collector and 3D platformer games. I primarily play Temtem where I am a high ranking player, but will also mix it up with some other games ^^ Profile picture made by Kaaena instagram.com/kaaena_/?hl=en
I think everything about Vola comes down to Toxics still being the best counter to other Toxics and Vola is the epitome of that. Rend makes it too strong rn, but otherwise it's pretty balanced. It's just annoying that you're often forced to pick it to have a chance vs Nid, Vulffy and other frequently used Tems. Yeah, there are other methods, but the typing-check is still the most consistent way of dealing with most matchups.
Its not just toxics, but also waters and natures. Completely walling 3 types in the game it crazy for one tem. Type checking is definitely the best way to deal with things still.
Temtem should be the new pokemon cus nintendo wants that pattent to be theres and only theres. Only palworld is for the streaming, MMO, FPS gamers and it has made a new push for it, I believe temtem should rise again after the pattent and lawsuit twards palworld is over. Itl become a gaming genre and not a gatekeeping pattent fight over whats better digimon, temtem, monster rancher, pokemon? I love this genre to become bigger and better to evolve it into finding the and tat perfect game. Like monster in my pocket. To a more mature like shin megami tensei.
Its still very very strong, we just happen to be in the most mental focused meta we have ever seen. I would not be surprised to see yowlar pick back up in popularity again soon.
Been interested in picking temtem up again- especially now that tiers seem to be settling with major patches slowing down. Something I struggled with in earlier patches was the cost, both in game and real time, to build and train teams. It was always gut wrenching when TVs got outdated and I’d have to redo so much progress. Happy to see Volgon get some much deserved archetype changes to a glass cannon that makes it more fun to play with and against.
We have temtem showdown now to make TV spreads real quick ^^ its been great ever since it was added cause it removes that constant grind. Glad to hear your interested in getting back into the game ^^
Making a good team takes time and I havent made any teams this patch that were designed to be good, but I did share my team codes from my first stream this patch if you just want a team to try out. Theres a few different playstyles to choose from and you can watch the stream to see my play the team if you wanted an example of how it works ^^
I think the X factor that scaravolt has that anatan doesn't is good friend. Good friend protecting you from a double in is so valuable even in a terrible matchup.
I do have a channel point redeem on my twitch for reviewing a replay, but I dont have any plans for specific videos like that. I already do a pretty good job of analyzing matches as I play them during my streams so you could check some of those out for this patch ^^
Maybe player count in pvp will go up a little after bit. Lots of people Luma and Umbra hunting with the nice odds now. Copium probably but : ) I'm super excited to make a comp team later tonight
Not sure if mentioned somewhere, but the gazuma in the first game did get trapped, you only plagued it, which gave it exhaust, and then you slept it with haito, so it got rid of the trap
Yeah that peraniant move is so good but I don't know if I can justify it. H slap literally saves games against stall and confirms so many good kills. Nox bomb makes it just win matchups against other waters. Ice cubes was nerfed this patch so maybe it could replace that? Slight speed invest plus prio is so damn good though. Honestly this seems to benefit stall the most. Insta killing someone then healing for 30 percent is fucking bonkers when you're already planning to be slow. Maybe this needs some sort of synergy prio that's different from ice cubes?
Very excited about this patch too! All the QoL enhancements seem like positive changes, and most of the competitive tweaks seem like they're pointing in the right direction. Thanks for the vid!
It did, but they did just fix it with their mini patch. Now it has plague back and even e-storm and resin trap. Only at the cost of t-strike. Id say its a good change overall, puts it in B or even B+.
Hi there newish player here looking to get into PvP, would you be able to tell me what traits would be best on the A+ and A tier Tems? I know for a couple you mentioned but some others listed you did not. Thank you
A+ In order: Deceit Aura, tri- apothecary, tireless, scavenger, either, guardian, either, team elusive, hostile, either. And theres even a little flexibility there depending on the use, but those are the common ones. The A tiers have two good traits each tbh. Usually top tiers just have good type combination and movepool options rather than being top tier due to their abilities. The abilities are just icing on the cake.
@@Magnetonics appreciate the reply thank you! And do you have any recommendations on TV’s I know it’s not an easy questions and I’ve been looking at stamina breakpoints etc but if you’ve just got some general guidance / pointers would be appreciated as the only other resource for build it tortenites gardens and most the builds are outdated from patch 1.3
Sorry, those would take far too long to go through. If you have a specific team in mind you could ask some questions in the main temtem discord and people could give you some pointers.
Its also that tyranak is now one of like 3 good natures. The others are vulffy and chimurian. But yeah this patch is a vicious cycle of needing to bring tems from such small pools to counter each other
Yeah, your team was waaay too squischy. Loatle thrives in BO/midrange. I have felt very safe around 204-222 spd just for the prios in this meta and used at least 3 Tems for pivoting into better boardstates.
Yeah the whole team was pretty messy xD Was my first time really experimenting with loatle, but if I try it again I'll give it a go at a lower speed tier
Yes, it was absolutely incredible. I agree with u on hating big open worlds, and this was not it. Theres enough space to explore a little, but the locations are generally very linear.. It has a perfect balance imo. The only thing I'd say is it may not be that great if ur highly opposed to souls-like games or are overly familiar with them because it feels like a "baby's first souls-like." Which actually worked perfect for me since I've never played one before lol
If I had to guess why the patch was delayed I'd say it was Nintendo. They're notoriously bad with this kinda stuff. If there was a giant bug it would take more than a week to get recertification done. I don't see a good reason to blame Crema that doesn't devolve into outright conspiracy.
Yeah I meant that all as more of a joke. I figure its well known how bad the nintendo certification process is. Its still some of Cremas fault tho for having such bad testing methods that major bugs pop up every single patch.
@@Magnetonics Yeah I got the feeling you were joking. I just like to say something because people genuinely believe silly stuff sometimes. I don't want to blame Crema for things they didn't do or we have no evidence of them doing. Also I believe Crema's shortcomings are only magnified by Nintendo. Bugs were fixed much quicker before the switch release.
I don't usually play super hard right at the start of the season, but this new season I'm gonna grind super hard when it drops for those good que times.
I'll be honest, the queue times probably arent going to be real great, even on release day. I played on 1.6 release day and queue times only dropped from 10+ min to 5+ min ;-; Could be wrong if the patch is crazy good.
Hey - developer of the game here! Thanks so much for playing our demo. Getting to watch someone pick it up and *get it* is always immensely satisfying. A few things: - we know those camera override zones (forced side-scroller, etc) aren't for everyone, so we actually have an Advanced Setting that lets you turn them off! - This demo was to help us prove out our level tools and get feedback around building levels people enjoy, and so the final game will have almost no reused levels from the demo! (The museum lobby may make a return as a subarea for fun) - while you aren't the first person to find all our secret NPCs, this was the first time I got to watch a full secret hunt. Sorry the Earth 2 tree was so jank haha - great work - we continue to refine the movement to this day (hero mode has been nerfed a smidge. not a ton but it can jump smaller mountains now not entire continents, to help us make tighter levels) - our goal is for basically anyone to be able to reach the credits, for experienced players to be able to normal 100%, and for diehards to be able to 101% (you're right, total bummer we didn't do 101%, will fix for final game) - work on the full game continues! we are well underway on content, but unfortunately shipping this year is not very likely :c - we'll keep plugging away at it until it's the best it can be! thanks for the enjoyable watch! happily subscribed :D
Oh yeah! And our Bells and Whistles use 2D billboarded sprites as an intentional homage to how Banjo, DK64, and Mario 64 rendered Notes, Colored Bananas, and Coins respectively!
Hey! Thanks for watching ^^ (and creating this game, still hyped for full release) - I did remember that camera setting way afterwards since you mentioned the camera a lot in your devlog, but I never looked in the settings when I played xD so oops that ones on me, thanks for making it a setting tho, its really awesome to be able to change - Ooo I'm always down for more content, glad I got to play this exclusive experience then xP - I figured I wasnt the first since it had been out for a while, lots of other collectors out there - Fair enough with the nerf, it was a little crazy lol - That seems like a great goal, I'll be getting that 101% for sure - Glad you all have still been working on it. Great things take time so its no surprise it'll be a while yet. Either way, I'll be right there on day 1 to play! - O man I didn't even notice for the bells, that one looked so natural xD. I don't know why but the whistles just felt off. Maybe its because they are a different collectable than the "notes" and more along the lines of the honeycombs. Not that y'all have to change it, but I figure its worth mentioning.
Be sure to take that key that you got from that last boss to the blacksmith to upgrade your fork! I thoroughly enjoyed that I watched the whole thing .
Thanks for the reminder ^^ I was so focused on the fact I won I didnt even notice lol I think I need a second before I can upgrade again tho. Glad you're enjoying
