The mischief box was the same. Nothing Halloween about it at all! I got both boxes and was super disappointed in both. The books were good but the gifts were such a miss. Won’t be ordering the Halloween boxes again. Can’t justify the up cost on these. They felt exactly like a regular monthly box.

I thought since mischief was "spookier" then it would have all the halloween items! smh agreed it felt like a regular monthly box! I only got this one because I also really wanted the book, but yeah I probably will also not be getting it next year!
@@trinc9015 cool! I’ve only been to Antigua & a few of the villages around the Lake Atitlan. I had a sprained ankle so I took a horse up the volcano! And thank you for agreeing with me on the Spanish it seems like such weird grammar to me!
IMHO, it looks like kind of a ripoff in July. Some of the goods look really cheap, and that giant desk pad thing is useless. Also, as you said, why are they sending you that journal in July? Still, if you're happy, I'm happy. Hugs from California, Crystal.
This box is amazing! Unfortunately I don’t have an illumicrate subscription but I’ll try to buy the items separately from resellers. The Phoenix Keeper looks very promising and I’m obsessed with the reading journal!!
I think the lack of original cover on the reverse was because they only did a color way change for this one!! what a great box, can’t wait for mine to arrive 😊
Seriously!!! The bookends are soooo nice! And I’m so excited for the embroidery kit. I wish I read shatter me cuz the bookmarks are amazing. I just don’t know the characters! 😜

I feel like I like the original cover and colors better 😔 and I’m getting tired of them putting such cheap items in the box I feel like I might cancel my subscription tbh
I personally like this one more, but I think it's because it looks like an old timey book! But yeah while I feel like they stuck to theme very well, for once, I agree the items were just ok.
@@crystal1134 I’d prefer that personally as red is my least favorite color. I don’t mind a red book here or there. But tempest of tea, evocation, this book, and curse of blood and wolves (reverse dust jacket) are all red heavy and all within several months of each other. It’s just too much red. Evocation could have been gorgeous with teals or blues. I’ve sold them all.
@@Tiffs-bookshelf I do love red! But oh I’m so with you on evocation! The original looks soooo much better than all the red. Teal is my favourite colour. Hopefully next month we get a break from this red streak 🤞🏽
I don't like red books either... they are so repulsive. I don't know why, because I like red clothes. XD Unfortunately for me, this is my third box and second book in this color, but I try to enjoy what I have. ^^ There is no way out.
