It's also an exercise for your muscles and tendons, like Yoga for your hand and fingers. It's a well rehearsed choreography, a dance. Just think how long it takes a child to learn it. All of us need years and years of practice, and most of us still haven't yet mastered it fully or neglected practice. It used to be considered an art form and in some cultures it still is.
Really good points about handwriting! Thank you for these idea. I also think that handwriting is an art form and I still enjoy writing and receiving letters that are written by hand, although it is becoming less and less common. You are right about the idea of practice, but it's interesting to think that our handwriting can also change over the course of our life, as we change!
Interesting video. I don't consider myself geographically ignorant, but I've never heard of that city before. Rio, Sao Paulo, Salvador, Manaus, Belem, Porto Alegre, but not Goiania! Looked it up and it's quite large.
Thanks dude I really appreciate it! Yes Goiânia is a massive city! The interior of Brazil is less well known, mainly because the coastline is so stunning, but the inland areas are also really vibrant and diverse.
Vielen dank!
A few years ago, my wife (fiancé at that time) and I drove from SP to her hometown, Uberaba. It was September. We had to drive through the wildfires burning in the drought ridden countryside. It was scary to say the least, having never been that close to an out of control weather event like that. Cool videos on Brasil. Travel safe !
Thanks for sharing your travel experiences in Brazil Cole. I can imagine that must have been a shock to the system for you! Driving in Brazil can be challenging at the best of times!
@@JohnDeereOriginal02 Exactly my friend! Learning a foreign language is a massive investment of your time and energy, but a good one at least! Your English seems very good however!
@@williamgafrost Thank you, my secret is listening a lot, especially real conversations like a podcast but every once in while I use translator for search a correct words P.S. translator not function very well hahha God blessing you! Bye
Hey William, I remember that water fountain at the market. Great video, Your grasp of the language is excellent!. I remember that building, but didn't put two and two together that it was an old train station.
Hi Nick, thank you very much! My Portuguese is a work in progress... I had some issues with making the subtitles, as I couldn't find a good way to translate "o senhor" and "a senhora" into English as "you" sounds so informal. But then sir and ma'am are maybe too formal, at least for British English... Yes the old station building is very beautiful.
I was born and raised there. Left in 2002 to live In Kensal Rise, NW London. I traveled a bunch. I Met a lovely American girl along the way who i've been married to for over 10 years now. We're settled in Utah. Thanks for the video. Now I can share it with my family that think i grew up in a jungle with monkeys running around 😂
Hi Gino, thanks for this and for sharing your story! Great that you lived in London for some time. That's awesome, I hope everything in Utah is going well. Yes, Uberlandia is a terrific city and one day you can take your family there for a holiday! You're welcome, thanks for watching and for sharing. Obrigado por tudo. 😀😎
Right in the city square there William for your opening shot. Wow 28 C. for June. That is hot. Over the next block from the square there was a Mcdonalds and past that was a really nice lunch place, but I think they only opened on weekdays, was cheap and full of locals. Top video. I love that city.
Hi Nick, yes the winter temperatures were very hot! The food in Uberlândia was excellent, and in MG in general. It's a great city, I agree and the locals were very friendly. I didn't spot too many tourists either! Thanks for your feedback.
It's one of the sweetest soft drinks I've tried in Brazil, if not the sweetest! I had to try it whilst I was in Minas though as it's hard to find in other states.
@@williamgafrost That's one annoying thing about Brazil apart from coke, sprite, fanta and guarana antar. etc, most of the other soft drinks are regional, so you can only get in that area, too bad if you are out of state.
I love Churrascaria. But I like my meat well done. They tend to salt the meat to get you to buy more drink. In the South of the country, they have awesome BBQ.
@@williamgafrost The weather looked decent, plenty of people in shorts for winter. I was on my way to Brasilia, just stopped in there a few days. I also visited Uberaba, so look forward to seeing your next video.
@@nickrobinson9189 No way that's nuts! I've never met an English speaker who's visited Uberaba! Are you from the UK? Check out my Shorts for Uberaba content as unfortunately I didn't have time to shoot a longer video there. I did go to Brasilia however so that will be out in due course!
@@williamgafrost I have Brazilian friends who I met living in London, but it would appear like you, I enjoy getting on a coach and going exploring. My last trip, I went SP, Campinas, Riberio Preto, Uberaba, Uberlandia, Caldas Novas, Goiana, Anapolis, Brasila and coach back to SP.
@@nickrobinson9189 That's insane! That's almost exactly the same trip I did this time! I can't believe that!! I even planned to go to Caldas this time but wasn't able to. Stay tuned as you're going to see some cities you've visited before! I also met my Brazilian friends in London, that's brilliant! Drop me a line if you get the chance as I'd love to hear your stories about Brazil. william.g.a.frost@gmail.com 👍
