OMG thank you so much! I've had to make this a handful of times in my 28+ years as a decorator and loathe doing it! If I baked, it always cracked and even when airdrying it was always so fragile! I never considered adding a second layer!?!?!?!?🙀I have a wedding cake in October with creative freedom and my sis got me some really nice lace mats for the holidays so I was going to do some of the lace to match the wedding dress. But I wanted to try an at home recipe bc of cost and hoping it is less fragile than the store bought. Haven't tried it yet. Waiting on my tylose but asa I get it, I will! Thank you so so very much! With just that simple step, I can totally see why mine has always been so thin and tedious!!! I will definitely let you know how it turns out!!!!
