Hi, my names Ashleigh, I am a 22 year old wheelchair user from Gloucestershire uk and I have the travel bug!!! but being in a chair its not so easy to just book a holiday without doing massive amounts of research around where you are going, whether you will be able to access the things you want to see and do, if you can get on transport and get into restaurants for example. If you're disabled you will know the struggle for sure. The aim with my videos is that you guys can see how i've got around certain obstacles when travelling, or haven't got around. So you can see what could work or might not work for you. I'll be giving some helpful reviews on cities, down to structure, cobbled streets, toilet accessibility and all that glamorous stuff we have to think about 24/7. With all of this in mind, my main goal is to get disabled people travelling, seeing the world and experiencing life and hopefully getting more independence and confidence because If I can do it, you can too.
Thanks for the van tour. You are the only other person that had though of putting a sky light over the bed. I am hoping to build out a van sometime soon and want to do the same thing.
Nice wheels and gorgeous tiny home. Shout-out to the engineers and mechanics who make modifications for those with mobility needs. Being able to get out when you want and go for a drive is such a pleasure. Stay safe and TFS
I'm in a wheelchair as well, and I've been enamored with van life. Thanks for showing me that it's very possible to achieve this. Great van and vid! Subbed!!
have alook at stairwalkers they are used to move heavy photocopiers up stairs etc but the same technology could be used at the front of a wheelchair would lift a person in a wheelchair up a flight of stairs etc
good van tour some vans have a rear tailift option which would give you multiple options etc is that a standard design for your needs or do you have it custom designed to your spec etc i would probably had a larger wheelchair accessible shower which may have resuced worktop or storage space slightly etc
