Thank you for this. I’m African American also and wanted to know how it would look on women of color. I’m so insecure about my bags. I love you listed the location & price because many people don’t.
Mines started from my free forms and for some reason I used to break the free from dread apart and make them skinnier which cause my locs to thin over time
When your locs are fully mature, they’ll naturally become dense everywhere because locs are nothing but matted, compressed hair that only gets more matted and compressed with time. It will all look the same with time. And the interlocking does loosen up after a while if it’s not too tight, as well.
Came here to say this. I thought all locs become more dense & harden over time. Only the portions that aren't mature aka your new growth feels fluffy. I'm 1 year & 2 months into my 2nd loc journey. My first set was free forms. As time went on my first set went from super puffy & soft to dense & hard. With my current set I started with 2 strands & interlock my roots every 3 months. Only difference is the hair feels dense at first due to the knots that interlocking creates but my most mature ones have most definitely softened over time!! Everything takes time. A lot of people don't do their research beforehand so they don't really know what to expect. If u want thicker locs while interlocking, use a 2 point rotation method instead of a 3 or 4. I have a mixture of different sizes due to my parting. I did it that way to create layers & volume with this set. My thick locs are about the size of my middle fingers & have remained pretty thick throughout the journey. Now that I'm 1 year in, I've decided to extend my maintenance to every 6 months or twice a year to ensure that they get as thick as possible! Interlocking can be beneficial when done right & according to your hair needs!
Prior Team Interlock here: EVERYTHING you said in this video about the issues you had with interlocking-saaaaaame. 🎯 I only maintenance them 3-4x a year, so these issues are multiplied. Enough.🙂↔️ I’m 6-years in and I’m just going to start palm rolling my matured locs now. Over time if a vast, funky looking difference between the two methods starts to show up, I will just cut them once the palm rolling portion gets to my shoulders. End of story; thank you so much for sharing! 💫💫💫
HELLO😊 GREAT VIDEO😊 I AM 4 YEARS LOCKED AND I HAVE BEEN STRUGGLING WITH LOOSE HAIR AT THE ROOTS FOR 4 YEARS. I WENT TO THIS AFRICAN BEAUTICIAN AND SHE SUGGESTED INTERLOCKING TO FIX IT😊 I DO LIKE MY ORIGINAL SIZE HAVE NOW, SO I WILL DO THIS ONCE A YEAR AND GO BACK TO RETWISTING. 6 MONTHS APART I THINK I WILL WAIT. P.S. I WILL USE THE INTERLOCK AS A BAND-AID AGAIN 6 MONTHS APART😊
hi I had transconjunctival lower blepharoplasty with fat transfer done today 11days post operation I have a concern that both of my eyes don't look the same there is asymmetrical one of my eyes is like the fat pads still there and other eye is perfect is it possible that the healing is different under each eye but I am very disappointed and embarrassed that l have a big difference in the shape of each eye
This video gives me hope!!! I am so emotional about my results because i am botched up. I documented the experience but have yet to share. I did the surgery and endes up having to go back to remove these weird lumps. Then i noticed one eye was sleepy and other looks wide. Smh. This last surgery just broke my heart! I just pray that it will look better in a few more months. 🙏🏽
I keep watching your blepharoplasty videos to give me hope. I’m 3 weeks post op and still have bags. My surgeon said is still swollen so I’m trying to be patient. Thank you for your videos it’s giving me hope
Did the just removed the fat or did they repositioned the fat? I am scared that there will be a hollow after just removing fat😢 it looks so good on you
I know this is an old video but I just wanted to thank you because you sharing your journey led to me finally getting this surgery done. I had researched having a blepharoplasty since 2012, but it was your videos that helped ease my fears. This past January, I had a lower blepharoplasty with fat transfer to counteract hollowness. It was done while I was awake and like you, my left eye had more fat in it than my right eye. I came back to this video because I recalled you having a long recovery before you would see full results. Right now it's a little over 3 weeks and my left eye is still a little swollen and I still have darkness under my eyes, but knowing that eventually everything will start to even itself out makes me feel alot better. Right now I've been wearing makeup to work, however I can already feel a change in my confidence level. Thank you again for sharing your experience😊
@caroketges2002 Sorry, I'm just seeing this. I'm healing fine, but I'm having the dark circles under my eyes and on and off puffiness as well. It's been about 6 weeks since I had the surgery, and I'm very happy I did it even with the circles and puffiness. The only con for me with the dark circles is that I have to wear makeup every day, but I have noticed it's fading slowly but surely.
@Lyazhemsky I actually cried yesterday because I hate my results! I had my surgery and ended up having to go back 2 more times only for my eyes to look worse 😪 I will wait 3 months to see if it looks better. Thinking of sharing my experience since I recorded the process.
@@sweetma4life I'm not happy with My results for now. 4 months since My lower blefoplasty I sing I will do another one after 1 year with different doctor
Thank you for the details regarding your procedure and healing process. I am scheduled to have this same procedure this coming April. I scheduled it so far away to give myself time to mentally prepare and do extensive research. Your details have helped feel better about the whole process. You look beautiful before & after your surgery!
Thank you for sharing your experience. I am almost 1 month post surgery for both upper and lower blepharoplasty. I have been searching for other people’s experiences. Most of them are a month or less post surgery. It’s good to hear from you that I need to be patience with the final result. I had the stitches on the outside on the lower eyelids with bags removal. I have an olive complexion and it is still a little darkish red. The lower incisions area is still a little tender to the touch. For those who are thinking of having it done, the pain is very minimal. I wouldn’t had mine done if I didn’t have a friend who had it done and shared her experience with me. It looked way worse or scary I should say than it is painful. I had a local anesthesia. The injection from the needle was a little painful and I only took 1 pill of pain medicine and I didn’t need it anymore. She’s right about the yo yo effects on swelling, lumps and bumps.
I’m on my 2nd journey. I retwisted the 1st time around and was grossed out but the amount of buildup I had following a ACV rinse. I combed them out IMMEDIATELY!! Lol I still want locs so this time am trying smaller locs and interlocking as to avoid using so much product and rarely being able to wash. So we’ll see how this goes! YOLO! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Moving forward I’m definitely going to try your process because it’s simpler, easier and beautiful!! I have been on my “interlock” journey for one year and my hair growth has been very slow and the touch up process is EXTREMELY long. However, people I know who started their lock journey around the same time that I did, using the “re-twisting” method, their hair appears to be thicker and longer. Thank you.
