Because some people - especially young one - (unfortunately) are tempted by cinema and drama with “glamorous” “attractive” scenes that contain smoking! They rush to imitate this dangerous matter!!! 🔬* * Scientifically , smoking, in all its forms, is cigar, cigarette, hookah, or even passive smoking! It leads to slow and difficult blood flow - adequately - within the various arteries of the body - and not just the arteries of the heart - as smoking increases the viscosity of the blood,... And the benefit of blood to the body's organs is Not Only the delivery of food and oxygen!, but blood also Contains "White Blood Cells", which are responsible for immunity !!! , We can imagine the amount of risks that any organ in the body may face, without a “sufficient degree” of immunity, against: various diseases or against oxidant substances, or the so-called carcinogenic free radicals , which are present almost “regularly” in the bodies of all people. ..!!! I love this quality show so much I binge watched s1-s3 in 3 days. the contrast between Oldman as Lamb and Oldman as Smiley (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy was one of my first exposures to Oldman on screen) is hilarious, and the entire cast is such a great ensemble. considering reading the books to fill the void until s4 releases :)
Liz Brown, the characters in our head often are different than the way they are portrayed on tv or in films. That is one reason I didn’t see Life of Pie or the Giver. It is often the reverse for me too. I have seen films I really like and then found out it was a novella or novel and can’t read the book because the movie plot is too strong in my head and gets in the way.
Manika, I came across this tv series last month and really want to see it. It looks amazing. However it is a nine and half to ten book series and I am going to read first. I just finished the first book and it is really good too.
The audio book series has a wonderful man narrating. I'm starting last book in series. Going to watch when done. Tried first season but my imagining of characters is different.
Apparently - they are just not going to get made now. Oldman thinks too much time has passed. I believe there was problems with getting the rights to the other books for adaptations.
As a fan a Mick Heron’s Slough House books, when this was announced I hoped a good adaptation would be done. They more than did that, the cast, writing and production are over the three series so far have been impeccable.
I'm with you, sister. I just rewatched it for the 3rd time since the new year's. And honestly it's not just because of Jack Lowden. I caught some interesting details about the story on the second and third watch. Can't wait for the 4th seaon.
