Meh, it's just a decent game. Not really the game of the year masterpiece some people hyped it up to be. Nier Automata and Bayonetta did it better.

@@snimon5824 crazy thing is i still don't think people are giving it enough credit and maybe the culture war and eves looks are blinding people because the only thing keeping it from being as good as automata is its story and voice direction -- i mean how is anyone going to go through Spire 4 and think "yea mediocre" if i can put my ego aside and recognize that there are well made parts in The Last of Us part II, everyone can do the same for Stellar Blade but WAAAHH GRUMMZ WAAAH GOONER GAME 🙂‍↕️ it's like people like this are criticizing it not so it can improve on itself because i got criticisms as well -- but only criticizing it so it can go away, not everything needs to be like GOW, Souls, TLOU or persona, there's space for games like this and Gravity Rush, and Crymachina, and Plague Tale, and DokeV and Showa American Story but we keep getting boring shit from AAA devs this was a breath of fresh air cause the last NieR-like game was almost 8 years ago!! when was the last hero looter shooter? who can spell Concord? lol my bad dawg i'm just passionate when creators like Kim Hyung Tae and his team have their vision realized and you can just feel the passion, and positivity -- need more of that

if eve was a guy nobody would've been as harsh and condescending i mean even before Phantom Blade came out with gameplay footage people were already calling it GOTY switch that protag to a girl and there wouldn't have been pre-hype 100%

If you are a gameplay first guy electric underdog's is stellar (pun intended).

They were tired of ugly characters so jumped at the first goon bait they could find. Issue is anyone who understands action games well could tell how bad it was by looking at it. Then seeing how it just takes itself too seriously while having paper thin depth it loses the appeal of basically every game with strong fanservice. Imo it fails all over. It is a 1 playthrough slog, reason you have to unlock skills isn't because like in dmc and bayonetta new players need to get used to the new moves but rather you'd be bored dead by the end if it was unlocked at the start. Instead of having a deep pool to engage with.

@@frogglen6350 bayonetta was brought up when i was first hearing about the game and its so laughable in reality to me. Even outside of gameplay, bayonetta's hexiness is so well done it works with the game on every level, from story, world building, tone character, game mechanics and genre. Like even if I wanted to say bayo's design is goon bait there is a mountain of justifications i'd have to overcome for it. Like could you change that, yeah with legwork but then you'd need to work hard especially to make things like the holds for every attack and her punishment attacks and even dodge offset to an extent work visually and tonally as well as they do currently.

Resident evil is the most loosely connected story threads ever to be created by humans, and it's one of the most popular horror franchises.. so you don't really have a point their that's completely subjective, yes I'm not saying the characters are perfect but it's not how your letting on I mean common it's supposed to be a anime game bruh it's not a groundbreaking piece of media and the developers never let on that idea that was just article and fan hype, the game is still great and you know your being cringe with these takes..
