❤I'd love to see a Scalping version of backtests for Purple Cloud 🟣. m1, m3 , m5 would be interesting to compare. Please please ATP. Looking forward . Thanks
Very good work, but i have a suggestion. Make risk reward ratio of 1:1.5 or 1:2 and 1:3 also breakeven at 1:1 or trailing stoploss equal to risk, this will further enhance i think.
The volume (for example the Volume Oscillator or the Chop Index) or filter indicator (for example the DPO or the Solar Winds) helps reduce drawdown by filtering out low-volume trading periods. It can improve the quality of your trades.
Thanks for your feedback! One downside is that the sample size on daily charts isn't very large, which can affect performance. It's always a good idea to test indicators on different timeframes to find what works best for your specific strategy and market conditions.
Great content! I am learning quite a few things on how to structure my systems. Thanks! I do have a couple of questions though: Why don´t you use the deep backtesting feature in TW? Do you assume that the trades are trigger on candle close?
I'm glad you find the content helpful! I appreciate your questions. I don't use it for simplicity reasons, but when we want to optimize a strategy, using deep backtesting is a powerful tool. About triggers, yes. We should not enter during the candle because if any unexpected movement occurs, the indicators may not give a signal. As such, you should only enter positions after the candles close, both in backtesting and live trading.
Awesome. You are really "Process driven" Your back testing and trade journal are impressive. I became a new subscriber today. I look forward to learning more from you in the future. 123

Hi, thanks for the video! I have one question though. You use the EOM as a volume indicator, but at the end (12:18) you explain it as a directional indicator (like a C1 or filter indicator). Shouldn't a volume indicator filter out C1 signals that have no volume behind them? I'm confused.
Hey there! Thanks for watching and for your question. The EOM can be a bit tricky, but it's all about understanding its different functions. The Ease of Movement is a volume-based oscillator. It is designed to measure the relationship between price and volume and display that relationship as an oscillator that fluctuates between positive and negative values. A basic understanding is that when the EOM is in positive territory, prices are advancing with relative ease. When the EOM is negative, prices are declining with relative ease.
@@algotradepro Thnx for the reply! I understand what you are saying, but I think EOM is a confirmation indicator, not a volume indicator. A volume indicator should be binairy, either it says go or no go. The EOM doesn't do that since it is directional. Might be a good filter for your entry indicator though. But a volume indicator should filter out those entry and filter signals when there isn't enough "steam" behind the signals and thus reducing losses. Just my 2 cents. Finally want to tell you that you do amazing work and make great educational videos! Thank you for that !!!
Thank you for your comment and feedback! I understand your point and agree with it. In-depth analysis might indeed justify using and optimizing indicators like the Chop Index and the Volume Oscillator, which work in the binary fashion you're referring to. I appreciate your input! In this series, I aimed to be quick and concise to get the information across. Thanks again for your feedback! I'll continue working to improve.
This series has been fantastic. You can tell that you've spent lots of quality time on it and, in addition, you know what you're talking about. Thank you!
